did you watch all the HI Story series ? can you tell me if any of them has a sad ending ?
I am deeply sorry, my answer took a few years, and the notification of your comment must have got lost somewhere. My sincere apologies. I watched all of them; they have also come a long way, just like me. Most of them have a rather happy outcome, but "HIStory3: Make Our Days Count" must be the saddest by far, to me.
"3. How did that Dean? doctor knew that Tyme was living in 4minutes timeline and shouted for him to come out?" -- I think it is because his body“s vital signs were indicating that he entered the 4minutes timeline before dying, and Dean had found out through his new girl that when she was dying, her then boyfriend“s voice got her out.
"4. Great turned himself in for helping Dome. Did he do the same for leaving that woman in the beginning to die when he drove off? From my understanding heāll get no prison time, cuz reasons? (Also, what happened to that woman he drove over, wasnāt she doing some dark curses stuff? did the writers forget that plot?)" -- Very valid comment. I think she was in the timeline of GreatĀ“s 4 minutes, which eventually did not take place in reality because she died in realiy right away, therfore no redemption arc in real life. That he didnĀ“t bother to also mention that to the police, might be connected to his fatherĀ“s hands in it. But actually, would have only been the right decioson to admit everything at that point.
"7. Do they really expect us to believe, Tonkla who was going around killing people for revenge, and clearly using Win so he'd do him raw will jump in front of a bullet for him? I doubt he did it for Korn, cuz he knew Great was Korn's brother and how hurt he would be if he killed Great, and he still attempted that... so why the eff did he suddenly jump between them?" -- This part is actually quite clear to me, as the writers have always inserted scenes in which Tonkla was struggling very badly with mental health and in some psychosis, I assume he was constantly dissociating and hadn“t even grasped what had happened. Since his feelings for Korn have been evident throughout most of the series, it“s clear he didn“t want him to die because of his redemption arc. I would say it“s a similar intention with Win, not that he deeply loved him, but he also thought the best way to solve the dilemma was if he were to be shot right then and now, so neither his love nor his lover would kill each other because of his mess. I don“t think he could grasp what Korn could do in the emotional effect.
I“m willing to stand my ground for this series. The trope might be very familiar, but the storytelling and the choice of editing this story are captivating in their way.
This series is better than Heesuinclass 2 and Something is not right.
At least it“s realistic in a way that this pull and push dynamic in relationships, which can also be rooted in deep love and resentment, is thematised.
A stereotypical story where one guy didn't understand and decided to run away from his beloved boyfriend and disappear…
I get your point. But I feel it“s such a common thing happening in our daily lives as well. And while you are right that this trope is not unique, I feel the way of storytelling is quite spot on. Not only does it focus on not just one person, but it also gives us insights into both perspectives on their story in each episode. Sometimes you don“t need a unique story but just a unique storytelling to be enchanted.
SOO one thing I noticed while watching the first few episodes of FoF, that the locations seem oddly familiar to me. And surprisingly, it turns out that most locations they filmed at are in Zhejiang Province, one of which is only 4 metro stations away from my campus in Hangzhou. I am still a bit mindblown. x-x
I just found out that the campus I am studying at is just 4 metro stations away from one of the filming locations of Fangs of Fortune, which is called Xixi Wetlands ... been there many times to unwind.
