Arghh!!! I don’t know what’s up but Elise’s acting and dubbing is throwing me off! Seriously over the top…
I have a feeling they gave her a mix of English and Mandarin lines for her role, since her character lived in London, however, post-production when the dubbing was happening someone decided to forgo some of the English lines and use Mandarin. The way she is acting "jealous" is over the top, its a big distraction.
IMO, the pairing just doesn't look right. The FL looks too young for Ethan & it makes it worse that her character…
She looks younger than him, obviously, but I don't feel the age gap is as wide it is in reality for the actors. I am curious what the real age gap is between the leads in the book.
If she pretends to be the mother. She would have to claim her as her own. It might have been more possible in the 1990s when Korea was still poor and developing.
Viki is the only official place with subs. The subs take time since they have volunteers who work in they are…
No kissasian has never subbed a single drama. They take them from other LEGALLY LICENSED SITES. If a website is full of popups and they don't offer a PAID monthly or annual subscription, it's a pirate site. ALSO, you can tell by simply observing the name of the subbers when they are listed in the credits, they will often say viki, viu, youku, mgtv, tencent, iqiyi kocowa, or a fan subbers name, honestly they take them from all over the place. You can also compare subs side by side, the legal vs the pirate sites, however some dramas are subbed legally more than one, viu, viki and kocowa have different subbers but all three may have the rights to air a drama, illegal sites will only have one version, so if you don't have access to all 3 legal sites you might not notice that the subs are the same when Kissasian has stolen them. Dramacool, myasiantv, dramanice, Kisskh and kissasian are some of the bigger pirate sites but there are many others.
You can google the story.... ABS-CBN wins the case, KissAsian ordered to pay over Php92 million ($8 million USD) in damages and copyright infringement. ABS-CBN Corporation, one of the biggest media groups in the Philippines, has won a lawsuit against KissAsian, an alleged pirate site. The case was filled in the Florida court earlier this year.Aug 30, 2017
I didn't read the novel so I can't compare it, but as a drama on its own, I'm enjoying it. I just can't stand the women employee for the chef. She's annoying. Plus her dubbing is horrible. It appears she is just saying anything she wants in English and they're tossing Chinese lines over her.
Is It Available On YouTube, Rather Than Viki Or Dramacool Or Kissasian!?OMG! It's A Sudden Surprise!I Was Waiting…
Viki is the only official place with subs. The subs take time since they have volunteers who work in they are free. Kissasian and Dramacool don't self sub, they take them from places like viki. Viki has free viewing in the US, a VPN will help if you don't live there.
He instantly became a single parent when his wife left. He struggled to raise his baby on his own until the neighbor lady told him let's raise our kids together. Korean men can't register their children as their own, the wife has to do that. Therefore, a single Korean father can't get public service for their kid on his own without a big legal battle. Many of these kids have access to healthcare and school registration among other things. It's When Cha Yeon Shil took ownership of Mr. Park's child, registered the baby as hers and get DD the basic government services available, prior to he was a single father. The time frame of how long between the two women. It's the circumstances that directed his choices in that time no matter the length. He was going to kill himself and DD in the Han River. He was depressed, overwhelmed, and out of options.
If you would like a little added perspective on how difficult it is for a single (abandoned) Father in Korea. I highly recommend watching the following interviews on the youtube channel Asian Boss. It should add some context to DD's father's experience. Keep in mind, it's challenging now, it would have been much worse back in the 1990s. FYI... have a box of tissues with you. whether it was Anna manipulating him or trauma 27 years back. Anna deserved that slap. Any actions he did after…
She sounds like a great roommate to have. There are 4 lawyers in my family, one in Seoul and three in the States. I always enjoy our conversations too.

Your standpoint is your personal view but not reality. Laws are not "black and white" (not blue) as I stated. It doesn't matter if he returned to her house a second time. His lawyer would have to make a case proving he was not in his right mind, a psychologist would have to prove his behavior is related to this specific incident and a judge or Jury would determine what is just. His ex-wife's behavior and how it impacted his mind would be brought into question. She could be charged and held responsible for all of the emotional and mental damage she did to him and his child. There have been cases where an emotional and /or physical abuse victim has murdered their abuser, and they have been let off or were given a reduced sentence based on the reasoning for the crime. This isn't a European thing only, ALL nations have an insanity plea available. There are various ways this can be carried out depending on the region. However. Japan, Russia, the UK, the US, Australia, NZ, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany have more defined involuntary commitment or temporary insanity laws.

No dear, it doesn't make me wrong, it makes me an educated independent adult with the ability to look at the reality of the world and consider all the factors surrounding an issue, There is a danger when society places every crime and all criminal behavior into a box of 100% right or wrong. There are a plethora of examples globally where people have committed what is considered a crime on paper, but never get charged after a trial, and this included murder. A reasonable number of governments have laws regarding crimes of passion, involuntary commitment, and temporary insanity. If a lawyer is able to produce enough evidence to support that the person was acting out of character, they had suffered extreme and repetitive mental distress or abuse by the person they assaulted or killed, a judge or jury can lower the level of the charges, reduce a sentence, release the person for to time served, assign therapy -rehabilitation and not jail time, or remove the charges completely. Abuse is abuse, but not all abuse is categorized or weighed the same by the mental health or legal community for just reasoning. If we don't consider the reason why people do what they do, but only punish them for physical abuse and not emotional, then there will be no true justice.

Fathers are always at a disadvantage.
