My cousin married a Korean and they live in the Long Beach area, my recent love for Korea has deepened our relationship. They were supposed to come to Korea last summer, to show their sons for the first time, then Covid happen. Have you ever been to the Korean Friendship Bell - Angel's Gate Park, in San Pedro? It's a stunning location. I am surprised how few people have heard of it in the US.
You will love Korea! It's so easy to navigate, extremely affordable. Make time for a few days in Jeju if you can. It's only $15-60 to fly there one way. 45 min trip by plane. It's stunning. I would highly recommend avoiding coming in July and Aug. I am sure you could handle the heat, but the humidity is just miserable, but I can imagine even more so if you are from a dry climate. Honestly, I could talk about Korea all day. It really is my happy place. LOL.
