Title She Would Never Know Spoiler
I'm loving this drama so much so far! (Many of the comments here...not so much.) I love the main couple together…
I also agree. The female lead is a brilliant actress, one of my favorites. I can understand why her character has a closed off- cool temperament and takes careful steps around opening herself up. I have lived in Korea a few years now, it's not that unusual for people here to be more reserved about their personal life, especially the not so pretty parts. They don't want to be a burden, nor do they want others to judge them. It takes a much longer time for my Korean friends to open up. When they finally do open up to mr, they share things they won't tell their other close Korean friend or family. They assume I ( as a North American) will be more accepting and less judgmental.
For example, last night my Korean friend called me to tell me, she's been dating a man for a year who "was" married, he has 2 kids. He's been divorced 7 years now. She's 38 years old and never has been married. They both want to get married together. This is still not easily accepted by many Koreans, especially the older generation.
In the west where this is not that uncommon, in Korea, she feels she has to hide her boyfriend's past from her friends to protect her relationship from being judged. Recently, Her mother found out, she is very upset about it and told her not to tell her dad.
I am the only person she has told because she knows I am not going to criticize her choices. I know, despite this man having a past relationship. He is good to her and loves her a lot. His kids like her and accept her as an "aunt" type figure in their life.

I think it's important for international views to notice that not every culture is formed by the same thinking or behaviors. If you compare people from Brazil with those from Japan, it wouldn't take long to see how both handle their emotions and personal relationships completely differently.

In addition to the cultural differences...I also think it's important to keep in mind the FL is also working with both of these men on a daily basis, she can't avoid them. She can't go to her mom (her only family) for understanding, her mom is part of her deeper problems. She has one friend, even in this relationship she holds her voice back a little. The only way for to survive her day to day life with some dignity requires a measure of self-protecting her emotions before they run rampant. What she really needs is a therapist, which is less common in Korea.
Thus, the high rate of mental health issues in the country. Anyway...As she feels safe with the ML, I think as we see her open her heart again, There may be some twists ahead, but as they settle into a relationship I believe the debris logged in her heart will start to wash away. She will warm-up, become bright and happy. It's all apart of the evolution of healing in a space of pure love. I believe overall the lead actress is playing her role naturally as a Korean woman would with a past like she has had, with the professional dynamics she is under.

I am also really enjoying the leads and the sister with the director. I see a storm brewing once the 3 different couples' connections are revealed. Where they all appear together? Could it be at a wedding or some other event...hmmm...
I'm super curious what's going on with the middle sister, her husband and the chef.

Someone commented below that it was because of censorship reasons. I don't understand why that would be an issue.

I am watching this raw on the official
Ch3Thailand youtube channel, most of the Thai viewers are pissed off about the entire story and how it's turned in the last 3-4 episodes. They can't stand either of the leads and curse the scriptwriter. They complain the male lead is trash for the way he is treating the FL and they are annoyed how the female lead's personality has changed, she has lost her spunk and fight.
They basically keep calling the entire drama sewage. Nearly everyone is evil, they say this doesn't reflect the Thai people well. A lot of viewers are dropping it.

This is a 40 part drama so the story will be slower paced.

Title Love Unexpected Spoiler
I wouldn't be surprised if the bracelet she gave to her adopted sister is going to cause a lot of confusion with the male lead (who he has feelings for or trusts) in later episodes.

I sympathize with hm way more that I do with her but still think he was clingy from the beginning.
LOL SMH...I should have read further down at other dialogs you have had on this page.
You need a life. It is a drama. You seem to really like to be right and argue more than having a conversation about different perspectives. Every viewer will filter what they see through a slightly different lens. There is no proof needed. It is subjective by a wide range of factors. Anyway, It's not even worth wasting my time continuing with this ridiculous cycle. Enjoy the drama.

LOL prove it. It's a personal observation by watching their body language and actions not what is said alone.
It is nothing to do with teaching him teaching her to surf.
Him making the couple boards and recording every moment of the process (while talking to her) could be a bit much for someone who is not on the same page. It's not a small gesture. He is doing it out of his quickly growing feelings for her.
Sex is not a factor here, everyone has a different set of values around it, in the same way saying I love you is not the same for every person. It is not something easily said by many, it often has more meaning than sex itself in some cultures. Love is not connected to sex in every relationship or encounter, even if many believe it is better if it is.
The marriage and rings weren't a joke or a fun activity for him. His heart was completely sincere. In Korea, you don't have to have a ceremony to get married. You just have to go to the gov't office to sign a document. The ceremony is an expression of his heart for her, he believes she feels the same and they have a future together. He doesn't see her reservations or hesitations. He can't read her body language. He's moving on full speed, by being committed to her after only being together a few weeks.

The rating have been a bit of a rollercoaster. It went from 8.7 to 7.8 to 8.1 to 8.7 back down to 7.8, 7.9 and…
Actually the way this drama has bounced is abnormal. They don't typically fluctuate to this extreme. Dramas usually start off high and gradually go down, they may fall or raise by a 0.1-0.2 points per week if a drama disappoints or improves. Often dramas will hold steady for several weeks in a row, until it is fully completed.

since when is a rating of 8 low for a drama that just started?
8 is an average rating on MDL
usually, new dramas are rated higher in the beginning.

I agree with you..I don't understand why people come her and compare it with Run On...I'm actually loving this…
IMO Run-On is an average drama. I'm not sucked into it. I find SWNK far more interesting to me. I love True Beauty because it is funny
STILL... I would not know where to begin if I wanted to compare any of them.
The dramas alone are completely different stories, locations, cast, crew, and director. They don't resemble one another in any way. It's illogical to even put them side by side. apples to oranges
