I'm happy I didn't listen to the negative comments, I really enjoyed this drama MUCH more than I anticipated. I watched marathon style start to finish, however, I did watch some of the leads mother's parts in 1.5 or 2.0 speed, the writer made her extremely illogical and strangely selfish (almost off her rocker mentally) in her reasoning IMO, but the rest of it I really liked. I am looking forward to season 2.

Honestly, I might have a hard time watching 44 episodes marathon style, if I waited for the entire story to be completed. Since its currently airing 1-2 episodes - 7 days a week, I find my daily dose a bit addicting. I don't skip, however I sometimes speed up the video 1.5-2 x when there is an annoying character on . I still want to know the story even if it's not the person I am most interested in.

I just watched EP25-28 unsubbed on youtube. I'm stunned it was 6 years. Visually...I'm not sensing the same level of justified anger I would expect from him or his family about her secret. He seems a little irritated at first and then calm. Ahhhh I need subs.
This drama was surprisingly good. I would actually rewatch this one on a future wintery weekend when I am stuck inside, which I RARELY do. The lead has amazing chemistry. The affection between them in the BTS (even when the camera was off) was fun to watch. I really hope we see them in another drama again soon.

I like that Guan Yu Qing isn't putting up with Xu Qing Feng mother's controlling behavior. It is also something I think helps Xu Qing Feng grow in his attraction toward her. He feels so powerless around his mother, she gives him a glimmer of what respectful self-empowerment looks like.
I didn't expect to like this story as much as I am, despite the fact that several members are unashamedly selfish, and bound to give us all a tug of war within this story.... Still, I appreciate the personalities of the leads, especially Guan Yu Qing being a successful, strong, and confident woman. I love how she doesn't let her dad or brother manipulate her into doing what she doesn't see as wise reasonable. I wish she would make more of a stand at times, but I suspect that is coming later. Xu Qing Feng's relationship with his mother is crazy but still realistic. She's tangled in her distorted version of the past and trying to tie down her son with the same rope of twisted fears which have her. Toss out the family, the lead couples' personalities work well together. It's nice to see they both have a sensible supportive friend they can depend upon. I also like that the actors look age-appropriate for the parts they play. I'm a bit tired of seeing a doctor (especially those with some special skill) in a drama that look like they could still be in high school.

Toss out the family, the lead couples' personalities work well together. It's nice to see they both have a sensible supportive friend they can depend upon.
