That was my reaction too. Si Feng was treated so unfairly by mostly everyone and Xuan Ji being selfish and ignorant towards his pain and misfortune frustrated me a lot. I still however enjoyed this drama very much despite my concept of Xuan Ji’s sufferings can’t live up to how much Si Feng has done for her. She was too easily manipulated sadly.
What series should i watch first or second? Anyone help?
The first in my opinion has a better storyline and more superb compared to the second. The order doesn’t really matter since you’ll still be able to comprehend the second series too if you decide to watch it first.

Once you get passed the boring God of War scenes, it’ll get better! At first I didn’t like the ML too because I thought he wasn’t that good looking but after giving it a chance, he grew on me and started looking more attractive lol.
Just finished the drama and WOW. Words can’t express how much of a rollercoaster of emotions I went through watching this. PS this has got to be the drama with the most spitting out blood scenes lol. But that’s not important cause... Where can I get myself a Si Feng in real life? XD

No he only “loves” Jin Mi but his love is toxic. It’s only a one sided love for Run Yu. For the marriage scene, it plays a huge part in the drama which I don’t want to spoil you :)
The fact that Si Feng is always sacrificing for Xuan Ji is starting to get frustrating with me. He deserves so much better and he doesn’t know that :( currently on episode 44 and I can’t wait til Xuan Ji realizes the truth.
Yes! I thought I was the only one noticing how bad she was when portraying emotional scenes. I just couldn’t vibe or feel the pain coming from her crying scenes and all that. But the ML truly did an amazing job at that!
Crystal Yuan’s emotional crying scenes aren’t as effective and sometimes I just can’t feel the emotion during her crying scenes even if I forced myself to. Cheng Yi on the other hand did such a great job, his facial expressions are so heart wrenching and more superb compared to the FL. But otherwise still very great actors/actresses!

You’ll for sure like Love and Redemption since AOL and TMOPB was your cup of tea. Each dramas each have their own unique stories and characters, so in the meantime just enjoy watching the drama without the comparison of the leads. I personally love all three of the main leads (Xu Feng, Si Feng, and Ye Hua) despite all their flaws :D
Thought he looked familiar from L&R and checked that he was in Noble Aspirations as well. No wonder! Glad I met him way before he got popular, knew there was talent in him :)
