The leads will get together during the mortal arc but oh boy, prepare for some tissues along the way. It’s also a happy ending. After all, TMOPB is considered a classic cause it is just THAT good. If you think about it, all xianxias that starts slow and boring always turns out to be one of the best! ALP, TMOPB, AOL, L&D, etc are examples ❤️

Idk but TY and YH’s sacrifices for each other gotta be the most heartbreaking but beautiful sacrifice ever in C-drama land. TY swapped his life for YH so she could get another chance at life. Whereas, YH basically committed suicide by jumping into the river thinking she had nothing left in the world helplessly. Then risking her life to save TY with the practice of dark aura. Such. Beautiful. But. Tragic. Love. 🥹

Neo Hou looks like a mixture of Xu Kai and Dylan Wang or is it just me? Nonetheless, Neo Hou is sooo cute but fierce 😍

Just finished watching and omg these two main leads are on my favorite lists now! This has to be one of the rare xianxia that’s NOT cliche. Love the comedy, action, and romance. But I wanted more kissing scenes and wished the ending would’ve been a little longer 😭 After all the hardships they went thru, we need a better ending 🥹

Yes! He’s such a precious soul, I wished they gave us a better ending for him. He didn’t deserve to suffer the whole drama just to not get his happy ending at the end of the drama again.

Is it crazy that I find Tantai Jin’s obsessive love so attractive? No matter what YXW has done to him, he only wants her still. He’s the perfect man I’d fantasize about but only in my imagination, not real life 🤣

This drama still remain as one of my top 5 despite the new overrated xianxia dramas this year. I have yet to see a drama with better cgi than ALP. I thought TTEOTM cgi would beat this one due to their high budget but apparently not. Nevertheless they’re both my top 5!

Fun fact: The FL in Legend of Fuyao is the same FL as TMOPB. If you decide to watch ALP, you’ll definitely have some flashbacks of TSL!

My top 5 is Ancient Love Poetry(ALP), Legend Of Fuyao, Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms, Ashes of Love, and The Starry Love.

The most healthiest love relationship in C-drama land! No stupid misunderstandings, just pure selfless love. Made it to my top 5. I love how the drama portrayed “opposites attract”. If only the ending was longer as well. At some point, TSL reminded me of ALP ifykyk hehe

To this day I still question this: During the ML’s coma after the war where he didn’t want to wake up, was the Xiao Lanhua in his dreams actually the real Orchid? Since he did contain a piece of her in his heart I believe, was it the real her in his dream that has been living with him for the past 500years? I thought it might’ve been possible since she wasn’t reborn yet.

I cried so much when the dream was dissipating into nothingness and they both bid each other goodbye for the second time 🥺

Just finished this drama and can I say…Dongfang QingCang is the hottest devil I’ve ever seen in any Xianxia dramas! Such domineering and strong entrances how can you not fall in love with him lol. Loved the romance here, this drama is one of those few dramas that actually had a lot of ML and FL screen time. Ughh I will miss them💕

Wow so many things happened while I decided to put this drama off until it’s finished. I can finally binge watch it and experience a roller coaster of emotions throughout the realms in one go 😅 Hello again my GouDan babes :)

I prefer Ashes of Love better due to a more balanced love and sacrifices. Less misunderstandings as well. But watch both trailers and see which ones look better to you.

Finally someone I can agree with. There was just too much misunderstandings that it made me so frustrated. I applause you for speaking my mind and the many flaws that others don’t see. Periodttt 👏

Like I said in terms of sacrifices and trust, it wasn’t balanced between the two hence why I said what I said. I don’t blame her but just thought she would’ve been smarter to realize she was being manipulated until the very “end”. This has 59 episodes, that’s a lot lol. But to each their own opinions…

I’m probably the minority that dislike the FL, I don’t hate her but her character isn’t too likable. See, the only reason why I dislike her character is because she’s one of the few FLs that caused so much sufferings to the MLs. Their love and sacrifices aren’t that balanced hence why many seemed to love Si Feng more. Why? Because he’s one of the few MLs that’s selfless and would sacrifice everything for her. I’m not saying that she didn’t sacrifice anything for him but she also didn’t realize that he was innocent until almost the END of the drama. That was a lot to take in.

I don’t know about you guys but Crystal’s acting is so-so. She nailed the innocent, naive, and powerful FL but she lacked her acting in crying, emotional scenes. I’m not an expert but I’ve seen way better to the point where I can feel their pain. Hers wasn’t too convincing but enough for the show to go on. Again, no hate but just pointing out flaws that others who love this drama probably didn’t see. Nevertheless, I’m still looking forward to Crystal’s drama “Love Never Fails”, her acting seemed to have more depth and much more superb than as I can see here.
