Try Legend of Fuyao, definitely also one of her best dramas!

Finally done binge watching and I can’t express how much I love this drama. Truly another gem thats worth my sleepless nights, hysterical laughs, and emotional self during all the comedy and heartbreaking scenes that all casts were able to make their characters come alive. I love all the loyal AMA soldiers 🥺❤️

If you don’t like wuxia-fantasy then you highly won’t enjoy it. But if you’re open to this genre then it’s definitely a must watch! Storyline and acting is definitely good, give it a chance and you can decide whether or not you want to continue.

The only thing kept me going was the storyline and the main leads. The show would’ve been so much better if it was executed better without all the dragging and confusion of flashbacks and weird editing. The storyline and everything was great as it had numerous adventures and twists and turns to the story. Imagine how much of a masterpiece The Legends would’ve been with better executions! Still love it tho

Currently watching and the comedy is so perfectly put into the drama. Xu Kai’s role stands out the best as his character is so interesting, I can see him as another version of Daoming Si LOL

The balance here was great in all aspects of wuxia qualities and genre. I love how the leads love were so strong and how much faith they both have in each other. Definitely a rare gem to find in the world of cdramas ❤️

This drama definitely made an impact on me as a viewer and xianxia addict. The romance wasn’t cringey but felt more natural than others and not a love at first sight kind of love which destroys the chemistry for me. As there’s only 49 episodes, the executions weren’t perfect but would’ve been better if given more episodes. Aka hence why TMOPB and other hit Xianxia dramas with longer episodes had better executions. Still love it tho!

Try Ashes of Love and Ten Miles of Peach Blossom

High rating applies to the good acting from the casts, good cgi, and how much the drama reflected on the audiences. Seems like this isn’t your cup of tea. As an audience of this kind of xianxia genre, it’s way more balanced in all aspects of romance, action, and mystery than others that I’ve watched before and more tolerable. Just putting my two cents out there.

Yes, the title matches the drama. I see “Ancient Love” as Bai Jue and Shanggu’s thousands of years of everlasting love thru so many lifetimes. “Poetry” as Shanggu’s fate of chief god is basically told thru a poem of having to sacrifice herself for the good of all realms—leading to the storyline of Bai Jue and Shanggu’s love life. That’s just how I see it!

You spoke my mind! There was no balance in this drama or anything new to keep me interested besides Xuanji’s past. Another one I would recommend is Legend of Fuyao! ALP and LOF is one of the most balanced dramas I’ve seen in terms of good romance, actions, and storyline. LAR was tolerable, they could’ve done better with the romance and maybe it would’ve been my top 5 lol.

That was me too, took me a whole month to get passed the first few episodes of ALP. But once I went passed episode ten, I binged watched it in three days! I followed the ppl’s advice to continue watching and didn’t regret. Try watching a few more episodes in and if you don’t like it then it prolly isn’t your cup of tea.

Maybe if you didn’t binge watched it in one day as this have 58 episodes and there’s only 24hrs in one day, you would’ve enjoyed it better as you did give it a pretty good rating of 8.5. Skipping or fastforwarding a lot of scenes will obviously make you miss a lot of important little details that’s relevant towards the unique storyline. There’s nothing wrong with expressing your opinion but it’s best to have an open mind and not be biased as YM did portrayed her role perfectly and was outstanding as Bai Qian/Su Su/SiYin.

That was me too but her character development is one of the best! She may not be strong in power and strength but her character development would be her mature ness in thinking and being smart enough to finally know right from wrong to follow her heart.
