Someone recommended this article when I ask about something in The Double comment section. I wait until I finish The Double before I read this, because I didn't want to get spoiler. In concise, this is the best article I ever read in MDL. . When I first watch The Double I kind of taken back by some cinematic choice. Like how often they use zoom in and zoom out, exaggerated gesture and exaggerated CGI, how the wind always blowing dramatically. I corelate this type of cinematic choice with cheap outdated drama (I was so narrow minded). But somehow, I keep watching, and I like it, and I love it🤔 I start to think: It feels like watching a theatre, like seeing a surrealist painting sometimes. I mean it's exaggerated, but all in the right place. I start watch it for what it is. And I love it even more.
When I read this article it's like a wakening. Everything I had in my head but in blurry concept made into real. So that's why it feels that way, so that why it seems that way. I appreciate The Double even more after this.
