Yes. I never found any good historical drama less than 40+ episodes. But hopefully the story still interesting. I personally still can watch a not so good drama as long as I'm interest with the story. So I will give it a try when it's airing. Hopefully it will get subbed

About sifeng's father, I like how he save sifeng many times. He has fatherly love much more than Shaoyang's leader. He has heart to sent xuanji to that scary and cold cave just because what his subordinate said, and he do nothing to save linglong. Where his heart gone? To his own daughters he has heart to treat them that cruel, let alone sifeng who is demon.

From what I read in his page, he will become the male lead in the drama "Qing Luo". Hopefully it will airing soon and has happy ending ^^

Me too. That's why I made this. I love how they tell their past story in the drama, it's prolong the audience's curiosity so they keep watching the drama to the end. But this kind of story telling make their past story scattered. My brain need the chronological order to understand better lol

I think the problems is their character and their doctrin that all demon is evil, so no matter how good sifeng is they will still despise him.
You can see Xuanji's father respons when Xuanji&Sifeng came to ask him to bless their marriage after they comeback from alan's the village (the scene after they reunite in episode 52). even after he saw what sifeng has done to save his beloved daughter, he still think over what other righteous sect will respons if Xuanji married Sifeng who is demon.
That's why I think in the last arc when he finally bless their marriage and those righteous sect accept them is because they slapped by the fact that sifeng is the reincarnation of the heavenly prince xixuan and xuanji is the reincarnation of GoW who originally an asura.
But I think only Shaoyang and Fuyu people that finally accept the fact, because only Fuyu's leader appear in Xuanji's father birthday banquet in the last episode. There is no other sect there.

Me too... I fall in love with chengyi because of sifeng. I almost know him back then in 2016 when I watched nobel aspiration, but I dropped the drama before chengyi appears (or maybe he has but I can't remember since I just watch the drama until the scene when li yifeng cut the bamboos if I'm not mistaken). and now I regret it. if I continue to watch it back then, I'll know him earlier

WARNING!! BELOW MIGHT BE MAJOR SPOILER!!

1. After Dijun create GoW from jidu's body, he bring GoW to choose her weapon and she choose dingkun.
2. Later she always spent her time mostly in the war against the asura clan
3. Later when wu ziqi came to heaven to steal juntian cehai, he asked GoW, have she ever wonder why heavenly people always call her GoW but never called her real name and he tell her if she want to know the truth she can come to devil capital to see the mural.
And why asura clan know what happened to jidu so they can paint the mural to remember what heaven has done to him? I think it's because they sent someone (most likely they sent wu ziqi since he was the one who steal juntian cehai from heaven) to looking for jidu who last time known that he visit heaven but never comeback. And what he found is not the safe and sound jidu but only his juntian cehai and the existance of GoW who as powerfull as jidu but with unknown origin. later wu ziqi find the truth and decide to "steal" juntian cehai.
I said before in my other comment that only the person who bear juntian cehai that can pull out it from her/his own body, so why dijun can pull out juntian cehai from jidu's body? it's because he dissect jidu's body as we can see so many suture in his/her body when xuanji in moshaxing mode showed it to sifeng. Dijun not only pull out jidu's heart but also his rib (since juntian cehai is made from jidu's rib)!! [Oh My God, I know that Dijun is cruel, but I never realize how cruel he is until I write this T_T ]
4. Wu Ziqi's words trigger GoW doubt and curiosity, so she began to inquire about her origin, why she has noname nor family. She can't ask other heavenly people, let alone dijun. so the only one she can ask about this is tingnu but unfortunately he don't know, so she started getting upset.
5. She goes to heavenly lotus pond to vent her upset, that's where she meet xixuan in his bird form. Later they became friends and she tell all her thought and her grievance to him, and xixuan might fall in love with her at that time that's why he gave her flowers and beautiful dress. At this time Xixuan always meet her in his red bird form.
6. Later in the final battle with asura clan, she heard devil king curse her because she masacre her own people. so later she came to devil capital and saw the mural, she was shocked and angry.
7. When she comeback to heaven, she came to lotus pond again to vent her anger but Xixuan stop her before she can destroy the lotus pond with her dingkun (This place is full of their precious memories together, how could xixuan let her destroy it with her own hand :') )
8. Later she try to find any clue about the truth and after she find the truth she became furious and came to nantian immortal clan to kill them because they conspired with dijun to seal her(his) heart (stellar spirit) in the crystal lamp (it's not like what siming told that GoW kill nantian immortal clan because she was jealous with nantian princess who married dijun).
9. After that she came to dijun to ask her stellar soul and rebel and take revenge, but unfortunately she failed and later she was chained and got the punishment. but before she punished with the heavenly lightning, xixuan save her because he know the truth that she's not wrong but the heaven who wronged her. (I think xixuan find out about her identity earlier since they became friends in heavenly lotus pond, but he doesn't tell her the truth because he affraid that it will make her sad). The later story as we know xixuan sacrifice his 10thousands cultivation and lost his celestial form to accompany and help GoW undergo her 10 reincarnations.

Since I'm so curious about GoW and Xixuan story in heavenly realm, here I write chronologycal event that might be happened. This chronological chain is what I can compiled from the bunch of the scattered flashbacks about GoW life in heavenly realm that shown in the drama. It might be wrong since this based on my own conclusion and imagination.

At that time, all the bad words I know came out, I want to jump into my screen to kick him, slap him, whatever I can do to vent my anger.

me too... I love chengyi's acting too. How he deliver all sifeng's emotion is amazing. I can feel those emotion as if I experience it myself T_T

How lucky you are, there is someone you can talk to about this drama. I've recomended this drama to my friend, but she said that she not in the mood to watch any heartbreaking story, and my other friend not into chinese drama :'')

The scene when Tengshe can't tell the truth is funny scene, but I can't laugh because I'm too emotional with what sifeng has done to save xuanji :')
