A simple story made in a fresh narrative with lot of originality and creativity.
The animation part was made realistic and relatable with a pinch of derision: Lives choices are definitely dicdated by our complex brain cells and a constant polemic between emotions, love, and reason... With life experiences, everyone matures and grows fine at the end :)
I dont deny that even if the animation part was great, I got a bit off sometimes because it felt it was taking so much space in the narration... Nevertheless, I enjoyed it for it consistancy.
A work of art: Aesthetically stunning, vibrant, slow, poetic... An ode to loneliness, longing and love.
Both leads were perfect for this work: the looks, fashion, hair dos were faithful to the sixties period. The cinematography, the "redish" ambiance and atmosphere were perfect. A masterpiece!
I watched this one with an open mind regardless of what I read in reviews and comments.
In a deeper dive, It is still a good watch that puts the light on the "Friends with benefit" kind of relationships... Some manage it easily than others and some get confused and frustrated along the way because of uncontroled emerging and developing emotions...
It all depends on what each person is expecting: some wants sexual fulfillment, some others want commitment, some want freedom and some want excitment... As long as the definition is clear at the beginning, and the conditions are agreed upon, nothing should be expected to change easily or evolve differently...
Lust and sexual attraction can not be the sole foundation for a rock solid realtionship... Many things are needed to build a meaninful connection with somebody and most of the time it all lie in the simple small things and gestures of a mundane daily life...
It's a tale about true love and loyalty but in a path full of obstacles, hardship, resistence, resilience, boldness, recklessness, self esteem, self worth, cleverness and sadeness...
The hardest targets are always the most desired ones but also the most painful and aching ones to reach...
By choice, it's better to live sad and free than a singing bird in a golden cage

In this season, the ML is even more captivating and endearing and performed so well that he was so moving in most of his appearances. His emotions were so heartfelt and palpable... An emotional rollercoater but in a good way <3
In the darkest times but also the brightest ones, Every human deserves someone as reliable, loyal and loving as "Jang Hyun"...
I will definitely miss this drama. It was a genuine one in all its aspects <3
Mixed feelings about this one... Not sure if I like or dislike it...
Nevertheless I am quite aware and not insensitive to the sad and deep thought of the core story: when someone is not feeling whole, not feeling good, shattered into a 1000 pieces, broken mind and soul, unhealed... He/she should never date or mess around someone else to his/her detriment to feel whole, feel better, heal or get fixed... It's always the saddest, the hardest, the harmful, the most painful and the worste of all relationships. At the end and for most cases, both will end up hurt and drift apart :'(
A story about a love fantasy and platonic love that gives an old confirmed poet the youth and inpiration to write an award wining poetry about his young muse...
Well executed and the acting was consistant and mature. It was poetic as intended to be.
The real deal for me was the little girl that was up to the challenge: she carried the role amazingly well and the outcome was just so touching, moving and heartwarming...
I am so amazed how young kids have that much acting abilities at such a young age. It's so baffling and deconcerting.
It's a thriller fiction mainly about political schemes, North and south deals, hostages crisis, power greed... with a very light romance story in the background.
It's a long serie with long episodes that might feel heavy sometimes. I lost my interest at many points and was gonna drop watching it many times... the political backbone story might not be to the taste of all.
Very touching and moving story about a lifetime friendship throughout different life stations and emotions: love, deception, hate, hardships, devotion, death...
Starts Heartwarming but ends heartbreaking yet endearing... Real Friends are definitely family without sharing blood <3
A good fiction with a good story flow. It goes back and forth in time and builds progressively. A mix of action, romance, emotions...
Some episodes are heavy on violence and quite gruesome. It was a bit too much at times but I get the fact that it showcased the supernatural powers and that it has to be overwhelming and shocking...
All actors' performances were outstanding and near perfect: the result was quite impressive and felt real and natural <3
Entertaining, loaded VFX, visually striking, quite futuritic sageuk with plenty of special effects... I can only imagine the amount of work and time that was put in such a complex production. I never seize to be amazed of all the detailing that is put for all the takes and scenes.
I did not expect such unusual mix when I decided to watch this historical serie but it was worth the time for its strong graphics prowess and the tale that goes with it...
It felt a bit streched for me to keep up with 30 long episodes. It could have been shorter and still remain mightier since it was strongly conceived.
Intriguing, Twisted, Gloomy and eerie atmosphere... the cinematography was mastered and both leads' performance was very convincing. It is quite immersive that it keeps the mind alert. It's worth the time and the watch!
Disturbing, sadning, moving, heart-rending, nerve wrecking, frustrating... and the list in long of how this movie is heartbreaking especialy when it's based on a true story :(
It was one of those movies that are hard to watch. I just couldn't be emotionally detached...
I only kept watching it because I was aware of its outcomes: I am glad this movie served the cause, brought back justice with a retrial and influenced a new law: "The Dogani bill" <3

At some parts, there was some consistancy that picked up the curiosity back but overall felt linear to me.
I also did not feel connected to both leads...
The OST was good though.
