Ok, I thought it was going to be a hands down ten rating, but the finale just didn't work for me. Why am I still giving it nine stars? Well, because despite the flaws the acting, script, direction, for the most part was amazing. Suspense wise most of it was rather predictable tbh. I still enjoyed watching it. The main leads are all amazing. I love the totally badass dialog and action. The thing is maybe they set it up as being something that it clearly wasn’t. It was dark throughout so why was the ending so bland? There are plenty of happily ever after shows out there, so for me the ending was a total disappointment. The amount of times Hae Jin gets stabbed and pretty much launches into action despite the severe loss of blood, but see I was still okay with all that because boy does he look beautiful doing it. Yes, I know, I'm going to hell, but at least I'll be in great company Ma Dong Seok and the EXTREMELY gorgeous Jo Dong Hyuk deserve a special mention because they were phenomenal!! My one issue is they totally amped the angst and emotion till the tenth episode and then it was like they just stopped themselves from getting their hands dirty. It was a story about a bunch of serial killers ffs, how did the ending make any sense? Anyway, I'll probably be less pissed later on . I would still happily watch it a billion times though. HAPPILY. And it's got nothing to do with Hae Jin and Dong Hyuk being GORGEOUS. Like EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY GORGEOUS. Not even a little.

Kim Young Kwang is amazing in this show. White Christmas is one of my favorite shows, and his bully sociopath role was so deeply etched in my brain it took me about seven episodes to finally not see an imprint of his evil face which definitely says something about his acting skills. He's definitely talented. He's also extremely handsome, and that hair... loved it!!! He's got an incredible presence and does a great job as the main lead, Dr. Lee, a skilled surgeon whose constant rebellion starts costing him his job when the sociopath Hospital Director who runs Mirae Hospital, treats the hospital as a business. But there are some people who still support Dr. Lee because of his humanist nature. And then the earthquake hits Seoul and everything is disaster. Everyone is trying to survive but surviving in that way often brings out the worst in people and that's what this story is about. How even if you're terrified you shouldn't let go of your humanity because that's what makes you human. I liked the family aspect but I wish the brothers had more interactions even if they were fighting. Another thing that didn't work for me was the main female lead. I just found her presence annoying in general. And even their romance seemed to have been thrown in and wasn’t exactly anything I was too excited about. But despite all this, I found this show consistently good, which I can't say for a lot of other shows. Another thing that kept me hooked was that it was fast paced, constant action, and they did the disaster part so well!!!! The hospital wasn’t just the only thing, but since the brother was a fire fighter first responder, I really appreciated their struggles and stories as well. I think it’s good they gave you a lot of new perspective on the dire situations rescue teams and first responders are frequently in, with or without natural disaster. The two people I really got hooked to them, were the robot surgery specialist and the directors daughter. Dr Hans story really brought me to tears in the later episodes after seeing him constantly siding with the Director and being against Dr. Lee's rebellious behavior. All in all, entertaining, and didn't bore me.

What Sooho (Minho) did toward the end :') This show is EVERYTHING. Thought provoking, emotional, addictive, and with casting that will blow your mind. I loved all the Hwarang, but I really fell hard for Ban Ryu (Do Ji Han). Even his romance with Soohos sister it was hilarious, considering all the times poor Minho got knocked out I still can't get over it but it was also extremely passionate. Especially because of all the emotional change Ban Ryu goes through and how she never resents him for it. Go Ara was great as the main lead, and both Seo joon and Hyungsik fall for her. But the thing that made me laugh, cry, and get more addicted was the bromance. Whether it was V (Taehung), or Minho, or Do Ji Han or Jo Yoon Woo, they left you wanting more. Everyone had their own struggles. The story of the two brothers (V, Kim Hyun Joon) was especially heartbreaking. These two had a cruel fate the part where V goes on a diatribe about liking stars in the sky, it gave me goosebumps. He just wanted to be a kid but his grandfather made it impossible. I mean what can I say about V he fit the role so well, I think he gave us all something to think about. Everyone loved him, to the point where he constantly hung out with Minhos group instead of the one he actually belonged to Minho... SHINee for life but honestly I've been so enamored with this guy's acting, and this show is proof that he's not just a pretty face. He is amazing in everything he does. I really enjoyed his bromance with Ban Ryu and his playboy nature but also how he got completely enchanted by the Queen. From the way this show made me laugh, to the message "Don't just follow orders think for yourself, stand up for the weak " to the way it also broke my heart in the worst possible way, and I was a total wreck. But the finale came strangely with a6 ray of sunlight and more heartbreak in some cases, but I never for a second regretted my time spent on this show. Another thing that I loved, was you get the same quality content from the first episode to the last. Most dramas are epic for about three episodes and then it's like you're watching a watered down version but with Hwarang that never happened. From the action, to the writing, to the way it was shot so beautifully you get that in every episode. Seriously, never going to get over this one.

ALL THE FEELS!!!!!
Amazing cast, great direction, fresh plot. Honestly made me nostalgic, so similar to my own high school experience. But Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin NO WORDS. I was sad about the ending of one character but I feel like it was well suited for the story. It didn’t seem unnatural. Also, Teacher Kang throws the best shade calling the drawing "a masterpiece" lol pretty much everyone's shade game is strong. One minute you'll be laughing stupid and the next you'll be bawling like mad. When Teacher Jung (Jang NaRa) asks LJS if he is in school for the food, and he goes "No. I'm also here for the sleeping still LMAO!

This is one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I don't just mean korean. Exceptional writing, unforgettable cinematography, everything fits so well together to create this piece of art. I'm a fan of Choi tae joon, not just his dramas but I even loved Cutter/Eclipse which is not an easy one to digest. In EXIT he made his character come alive. This is just one of those phenomenal shows that makes watching anything else difficult. Love it beyond words!

Plot
Kang Soo is a loan shark that tries to get by day to day in his depressing reality. His father's abuse lead to his mother running away from home. Thanks to his father's crippling debt, he began to work under Hwang Tae Bok. Happiness wasn't something that was allowed to him. His only dream is to find his mother and live a happy life. However, this is impossible in his life. No matter how hard he tries, he can't escape the nightmare of his reality, and when he was about to give up on his life, he sees a flier asking, "Do you want to become happy?" With the smallest inkling of hope, he goes to the research center, so he can experience a bit of happiness. However, he learns that happiness comes at a steep price of 300,000 dollars. He decides to steal the money from Tae Bok. Will he be able to achieve happiness?

My reaction to this movie can only be described in a series of creative expletives. But since I have to keep this PG I'll try to explain what I just experienced. For one, this is one of those films that stay with you and make you question your own belief system. Don't get me wrong, it's a gangster story my favorite genre but if you go in expecting your run of the mill clichés, this is not the movie for you. If on the other hand, you're prepared to go on a journey that will make your soul ache and make you question everything, then this film will be the perfect experience. You know, Kim Woo Bin is an amazing actor but if you see him in this you'll just never see him the same way. Like I was in AWE of him consistently and not only because he's Kim Jaewook level good looking but also because he completely immerses himself in every role. Everything about this movie will play with your heart. That dynamic with the older man who practically saved him in prison and that scene where he gets drunk and confesses his true feelings about why he followed the guy and never retaliated in prison, just wow, it's EPIC. And so is the ending, that's the only way I can describe it. Thought provoking and intense.

Fucking Shu Yi's dad is worse than Max's in TWM series! I mean this guy wants to be in the running for worst BL father ever and stand next to Kao's gangster father in UWMA. This dad wants to have high motherfucking tea with Zee's dad from Why R You.

You get the point. Lol

Honestly I just LOVE THIS COUPLE. Like ffs despite the ridiculous, overused, misunderstanding plot device they used this season. The skin ship, their chemistry, the dialog! It's so on point.

And ngl I was really into Pei's story this season because in the last one he gives the impression that he's into Gao Shi de but when he starts saying what's really going on, and his relationship with Yu Zhen ffs it got to me! Especially the desperation in poor Yu Zhen when he finds out about Pei's disorder those scenes were super angsty and I loved it.

In fact in general I love the angst in this show.

So why not 10 rating? I feel like the misunderstandings plot device, the arc where the guy disappears for years it just bugs me tbh xD but again that's just personal preference.

But I can't wait for the next season.

This is still the basic bitch of BL shows lol but this season the writing is better and the plot doesn't go off in pointless tangents but sticks to the theme.

Basically okay this is what you watch when you need something pulpy and mindless. It does have good actors and I honestly don't mind watching porn without plot, or angst without plot, this is the same concept but lacks both angst and the skinship is SO TAME.
I'm a SUCKER for VAMPIRES XD so I was intrigued and some of the writing especially in the second half when it came to Pierre's dialogs it was actually pretty clever and I didnt expect it.

But the kinks this time was human experiments and all the beating scenes good idea but the execution just wasn't great. Even the camera angles they use were so bland .

As for the BL pretty disappointing thistime as well. Jia and Asin had great chemistry but barely a tame kiss and what's the point of even having that straight friend in the story.

So, watchable and has some unique concepts but needs a lot of work

There was literally nothing 'sensational' about any of it unless you call coming out as gay to your friends who're pretty chill about it lol and doing 'bad' things like stealing - the horror - from a certified dick villain.

Truly the SINGLE MOST SENSATIONAL thing was showing protagonists smoking.

So while not sensational it is entertaining. But you can't call it BL, its just two kisses and some makeout and mostly fan service of the het guy. Its got the bare bones of a plot and characterization and the ending was so boring.

Honestly it was just an average action flick with none of the nuance, gruesome violence, or anything that was not extremely predictable so I guess I'm rating a little higher because I'm loyal to the franchise. And the worst for me was Jang ki yong was legit wasted on this movie and the only two characters who had the biggest chunk of the action was Ma Dong Suk and Kim Ah Joong which both of them were fine considering there was not much to do. But why keep this Jang ki yong for such a forgettable, insignificant role? His character wasn't even properly fleshed out. Another thing that literally make me want to quit watching were the typical Japanese yakuza villains, and it was all the Japanese against 'our great nation' seriously it was done in such bad taste. Ugh. Total cringe. I can forgive such storylines in historicals (barely) but when you show cartoonist Japanese villains it's so petty and immature. Theres nothing wrong with having yakuza villains but don't make it about Japan then ffs and talk about Japanese history instead of yakuza history. So you see naturally the entire script was like this! Seriously lacking in complexity and meaningful dialog. Whatever ghostwriters they hired didn't have a clue how to write dark stories so it was just a bunch of mildly interesting action, ridiculous, tropey plotlines, and plain dialog. I mean even most of the action is not that great.

It's still strange watching Jun Shison in a serious, adult role lol but he did such a great job! This is such a detour from his usual fare and the way it's made its really intriguing and enticing. I really loved the women's stories, and the way every story also reveals the character of Junichi. But I have to admit it also rubbed me the wrong way toward the end. Maybe because I couldn't feel for him like I was supposed to. And I don't mind cheating, and I don't mind one night stands, so that's not it. I just felt like I couldn't connect. Regardless, this drama is still really good and a must watch.

Here's proof that I do like romantic comedy if it's done this well. XD
Song Kang is such a puppy lmao everything about this movie from start to finish deserves a full ten rating! So heartfelt and real and hilarious! No annoying females and the comedy is over the top but not in any way that bugs you, it's all done so well. Absolutely my favorite rom com with a touch of melodrama and every character I was in love with. Especially Jung Yeon Joo, she played the role of a heartbroken but hopeful vampire so well. The skin ship and the romance was just so beautiful because it was believable. You could feel their bond.

There's nothing worse than knowing the person you love, doesn't want their paradise with you but someone else. Xia Mu his love for her is so deep and pure yet it reaches the height of obsession. Even though Xio Tian is a good guy and it was heartwarming watching them grow up together, I could totally relate to Xia Mus feelings toward his foster sister. That Joo Won cameo I have mixed feelings about it but tbh it's because he gave that character this evil touch. But I just felt his being a villain it was done in a not so subtle way. Especially in the beginning it was kind of cringey but then it got better and I was completely invested in the characters. I thought the ending was perfect. But this movie is messed up and I'm heartbroken over all three of them. Kris, obviously, he's beautiful and he gave his character a kind of a sinister feel which I loved. Seriously, he was the one I related to the most maybe because I'm weird that way. So it was heartbreaking to watch. But truly despite its faults this one is worth the heartache.

It's a really good watch ! Thought provoking, the kind of romance that really got me thinking, and a story line that's unpredictable.

No clichés, no hashed up same old plots and scenarios, everything is just fresh and a completely unique take on the topic of love becoming either a trap for people or something people use to get what they want.

Another great thing is that it's not set in a school, so bravo.

Now on to the characters.

I have to say the most memorable character for me, the one I rooted for till the end, because it was relatable and I just loved her... "Mo" played by Punpun.

Second favorite... Don played by Toni.

These two I think not only were their characters layered but their acting was convincing so it broke my heart and also angered me when they kept doing stupid stuff.

And why did they give Joss such a tiny role? He's a good actor and has amazing visuals but this was such a waste of his potential.

Now, on to the characters that didn't always work for me...

Plan, played by New. Okay so there's nothing wrong with New's portrayal of the role, in fact he's definitely got some fantastic lines but I feel like his characters motivations were unclear to me and he seemed to act very randomly.

Ryo played by First, his character was relatable and who hasn't done stupid things thinking they were right! So, like I said the character of Ryo worked for me but the way First played it, just wasn't all that great.

For one his smile seems sociopathic instead of cute and he just doesn't do expressions all that well that said there were times when he was good so I feel like he definitely needed some more help.

Now, for the character that worked THE LEAST for me...

I'm sad to say, Por played by Off.

Okay , so for one his makeover, his reactions, they just didn't fit the character! It's not his fault. This was a role that would have benefited from an actor with a more daring and rebellious presence, like Joss, or even New!

Off comes across as more cutesy than sociopathic and cold like his character is supposed to be, so it really ruined the effect for me. Another huge problem with his character, not the actor, he behaved one way throughout so the end, what he does after the ending suspense did not make sense at all!! How could a person like him just change so much overnight!

The others change too but their changes seem organic and you don't feel cheated like you are at Por's story arc.

Anyway, those minor grievances aside I absolutely love this show. Entertaining, suspenseful and shot so well.

The most overrated piece of garbage.

I mean none of the characters are anything to link or relatable and the acting is literally just the worst.

I'm sure these actors must have gotten better now but this is just like the worst thing acting wise which is why whatever skin ship there was and I feel like people are liking it merely because it's Korean and with gay characters. I mean some people have acted in it who are popular now so people think this is good I guess I don't know.

Personally, just watch the Lee Joon gi movie, The King and the Clown, that one is just perfect!!! Ten star rating perfect.
