I feel like I'll go to hell for having pressed the rewind button too many times during *a certain scene*.

Okay, on a more serious note, my appreciation for Adachi's characterization seems to grow with every episode. The parts about the product planning competition might have been my favourite ones this time. I think we've all lost some opportunities because we felt we weren't good enough and we didn't want to embarrass ourselves. Had we had a Kurosawa by our side, encouraging and supporting us, maybe things would have gone differently. Kurosawa is really helping Adachi come out of his shell and seeing that change in Adachi's life makes me so proud of him. Because yes, Kurosawa's influence has been undeniably essential in his journey, but Adachi was the one who took those steps forward. He made good use of his power and he was able to gain so much from every experience. Adachi keeps thinking poorly of himself, but he is in fact amazing.

A small random wish I have is that we (and Kurosawa) see Adachi drawing... and/or Kurosawa sees some of his art.…
It would be wonderful because they've talked about talent, goals and dreams multiple times in the series. I'm pretty sure that Adachi is good at drawing, but he lacks self-confidence to the point where he can't even see that talent of his. If Kurosawa knew about it, he would surely help him become proud of his skills and maybe even turn that passion into something more (a dream!). Afterall Kurosawa told Adachi that "things like dreams or goals, you might discover them unexpectedly" and that they are going to enjoy every new experience together, step by step.

Yes, definitely agree. The treatment of all the characters in Cherry Magic is praiseworthy.

I've just watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPbSXaAA8GI) and I really like point 2. People have always focused on Kurosawa's looks, to the point where no one was ever able to answer the simple question "why do you like me?". In episode 7, Kurosawa was moved by Adachi's confession not only because he realised that his feelings were reciprocated, but also because Adachi was the first person who looked beyond his external appearence and clearly told him that there are many other reasons why he likes him. He likes him because he makes him smile, he likes him because he makes him feel comfortable, he likes him because of all the beautiful moments they've spent together. Adachi was the first one who could answer THAT question.

I also think that a change in the fujoshi formula is unlikely to happen. I've watched almost all of the HIStory installments and the fujoshi figures seemed to be all more on the standardized side. Plus, Liu Mei Fang already appeared in Make Our Days Count, so I expect her to be the same ol' nosy and enthusiastic girl.

In general, I still haven't seen a fujoshi who can distinguish fiction from reality in BL dramas. I'd really like to see a character who reads and watches BLs, but supports -- not ships -- LGBT people in real life. Characters are shippable, real people aren't.

depending on how this series goes this might be the final nail in the coffin for the typical thai bl formula
I agree. The director said that if this series is successful, he will make more and help the genre evolve towards this direction.

Agreed, Cherry Magic's community is really the best. Everyone is so polite, open and positive. The way we all help each other and discuss happily is so nice. I don't think I've ever seen such a healthy environment among other fan communities.

I wanted to give my opinion about Tsuge and Minato's relationship.

Tsuge is introduced as a shut-in. Be it because of his asocial tendencies or his profession -- or most probably both -- he leads a reclusive life and he only goes out if necessary. Now, when you isolate yourself and you are stuck in your house everyday, you kind of stop growing. Growth usually occurs when you face other people and new situations. If you withdraw into yourself and you don't have any challenges before you, then you don't get the chance -- and you don't really feel the need anyway -- to change or improve. That's why I feel that while Tsuge's body is 30, his mind and heart are younger. He also lacks experience, so that 10-year age gap between Minato and Tsuge is actually not that big. The biggest difference is in their lifestyles. We'll see how they'll cope with that, but I believe they can. The common ground they've just found -- their determination to follow their dreams and fight those who bring them down along the way -- is what will make their connection stronger. They understand each other, so they'll probably try to support each other's dreams as much as they can.
It's always been pretty clear that they have a soft spot for each other; now they just need to talk, open up more and slowly uncover their feelings.
