I am on Ep5 and struggling... and now you said it just gets even more boring after 10, I think I will just give up now and cut my loses....

I started watching this drama earlier this week. I have watched a few episodes and stopped much earlier on.. I forgot why I dropped it or put it away until I started watching it and reminded why...SUPER BORING that's why....

I suppose Wuxia does come into play in NIF, but it's mainly palace politics and revenge.... It's more of a period drama ... NIF 2 is more of a Wuxia....

No, I haven't watched Story of Yanxi Palace..... May Be I should give it a try....

I have just finished rewatching it for the 5th Time.. since I watched it 3 years ago for the first time! Still, a masterpiece and still gets totally emotional and moved me to tears... Every time I wanted to give up watching C Period Dramas because of their stupid endings or stupid plots or their less than mediocre or lack-lustre storylines, I will rewatch NIF to purge and cleanse all the shit I watched subsequently out of me.... There are one or two period dramas that were quite good but none really come close.. NIF IS STILL THE BEST!

I totally agree... I started watching Chinese Period Dramas because of Nirvana in Fire, and boy... I haven't come across another that is so complete, so well-plotted and so well done ad so well-written... I wish I had watched others first and then discovered it much later. That way I won't feel constantly let down or disappointed as I keep measuring them against NIF... sigh

Be it modern or period and costume dramas.. Jeremy looks just as good as he is a great actor .... Miles better than the latest crop of extremely popular Xiao Bai Lians and their almost zero acting skills.. all they have is their insipid pretty boy looks...

AHAHAHAHHAHAAH I see!! Why did they title it Song of the Moon?? These people who labelled the drama really need to be more careful .. A million apologies for screwing things up for you guys.. HAHAHAHA.. Thank for clearing up the error.. How can they be so misleading with the title?
