im going to watch kim tae hee and jo hyun jae in nine tailed fox...and hopefully not feel weird while i watch them play brother and sister in this drama lol
I watched this twice in a row. I didn't get the ending at all at first and still don't as much as I would like to, but I think I get that Andre realized that God wasn't trying to test him. Instead his path was shown through his love with Eun Ha. As the folktale said, God sent down a strong rope. If God wanted to test him a weak rope would have been sent instead. Also, as it was said, it would be hypocritical of him to take the path of becoming a priest if it meant rejecting Eun Ha's love and his for her.
I didn't like the ending the first time but thought it was pretty sweet the 2nd time although the brother and sister analogy is a little distracting. It's pretty obvious they care about each in a different way than only brother and sister so I hope it's not a failure on the writers part to differentiate between the two.
In any case, I think if Eun Ha wishes for him to be a priest he will be a priest and if she wants him to stay with her he will stay. Basically, he's going to what makes Eun Ha happy like she was happy to do for him. That was already shown. Realistically, I don't think Andre would be capable of staying a priest with Eun Ha alive, even if he learned his lesson on how to love. It would nice to know what what the writer's intention was. Sadly the ending is pretty open to interpretation but I'm really leaning towards he will quit being a priest. She said herself that she wouldn't have let him go if she hadn't gotten sick on the beach before her surgery and I think at that point Andre was ready to accept her will believing it to be God's will as well.
Wow, I was watching First Kiss and Mr. Goodbye recently and I see he's been gone for 3 years. Hope he pops up somewhere soon. Looks like he got married last month. Grats to hime and hope he's recovered well from the surgery.
I also saw he has a little brother Ahn Jae Hyun. Anyone know if thats the same actor who played in You Who Came From the Stars and Blood? They look nothing alike if they are brothers lol.
The first few episodes got me thinking this was going to be a bad makjang but i've gotten more into it. I think Seok Hoon is the most interesting character in the drama...The actor seems to be a bit more talented than the main leads and the character is unique compared to villains in other dramas.
