I finally caved on Sunday and binged the first 13 eps. This is good. Like really really good. I’m not just saying that because I’ve been waiting for this couple to reunite on screen since PA. Don’t yall feel the difference in their acting skill and chemistry as compared with other popular stars? No shade to anyone else but these two are putting on a master class. Even their silence is electric. Anyway I’m loving it. I detect no flaws at this point.
But why is Bai Cai always laying immobilized on her belly and keening A’Gou? Aren’t we over weak damsels who’s only value is providing a meal and a warm smile?
No triangle yet. It’s one sided. She is just boring. I don’t understand why she was made Wu Geng’s Master. She doesn’t demonstrate any impressive cultivation.
On ep 14 and maybe it’s just me but I find the whole Beauty & The Beast arc of Bai Cai and Shi Xing way more interesting then Wu Geng’s prodigal son storyline.
out of pure curiosity, is there a reason why you hate peter ho?
My reasons are purely subjective. He is a terrible actor, always overly exaggerated. Plus I resent that he often gets cast as this strong, indomitable man when I think he is gross. Objectively, this might be because he is type-cast for certain roles and maybe my aversion is a credit to his skill but I just think he is gross and off putting.
