That ending shot in ep 6 of SDY grinning was a stark reminder for my neglected ovaries that Kim Young Kwang is entirely too sexy for the health and safety of the populace. Let alone me.
I think I developed red-flag-blindness in the shower scene. By now…hell I’m ready to have his babies. And I don’t even like children.
Just me telling the on screen couple (AiDi & Chen Yi) to get a room but meaning it earnestly and excitedly. Like “let’s take this to the bedroom” Gosh I’m going to miss this couple,
First time in my life that I’ve been sorely tempted to drop a show not because the plot is slow or bad, certainly not because of the acting, script or plot, but because of the absolutely infuriating erratic programming schedule.
Goddamnit SBS! It was supposed to be two eps a week, and consistent. I’ve lost track of the delays. This is supposed to be a briskly paced mystery/thriller but they are ill advisedly stringing viewers along. As if they don’t have to earn our attention.
I don’t just love this show, it’s literally my favorite currently airing. I love the intimacy between Koki and Angel when they are alone together. So much chemistry and depth in their most simple exchange. That even short episodes are sprinkled with punches of humor is amazing. The gangsters name for his weapon was a hilarious scene. And the transition in Koki at that moment….laconic and scornful one second and viciously protective because Angel got scared the next….damn he was sexy.
I’ve got a full on crush on that man at this point.
This is a first. I’m more invested in the second couple than the first. The main couple is just fine but AiDi and ChenYi are perfect. Mostly AiDi but you get what I mean.
Kim Jae Wook = Voice Lee Min Ki = Monster Lee Dong Wook = Strangers from Hell
But Kim Young Kwang has them all beat. In both roles where he played a psycho he was like an exotic animal. Dangerous, violent, unpredictable. The kind of predator a psychologist would love to study.
You can always count on him to deliver a complex, nuanced performance.!

Who is Mr. Gu?
And where can I get one?

Also, 2 eps in and I can already tell. This one is going to destroy me.
