I’m way behind everyone else as I’m only on ep 16. I am really really enjoying this. It has been interesting reading the comments and hearing about the ship wars amongst viewers. For me, I don’t get it. The main couple is excellent. I don’t feel Yun Wushen is to inscrutable to make the romance convincing. It’s plain as day to me how she feels about ZiYu. And ZiYu is so romantic and lovely. I like this couple a lot. As for the other couple, jury is still out on GSJ for me. But Shangguan Qian….I don’t like her at all. The second couple does nothing for me.
I completely understand. I'm about to do a short meditation b4 watching ep 4. lol
Good luck. I almost dropped it after ep 1. Gave myself a week break, picked it up again at ep 2 and made it maybe 20 mins before shutting it off again.
I want to watch this for Lee Joon but goddamn this show is stressful. The villains, and I mean 99% of the cast, are petty, cruel, outrageous and just plan suck. The few “good” people are unbelievably stupid. Show almost makes me wonder if I should be rooting against the innocent. But then again, the villains aren’t a whole lot smarter, they are just ruthless.
So tell me how you really feel. 😂Or try telling me something you don’t like about him. Don’t worry if it…
There is one thing I don’t like… The females he gets cast opposite of. Fiery Priest (she wasn’t a romantic interest so she was tolerable). Island (I could not stand her). SoB (its a waste of chemistry that they are going with this Mary Sue and not the assassin)
That was a hard ep to watch. Nearly every character disappointed me.
Who is the killer? You got me. Two eps to go. While I never believed SW is the killer, he did become more suspicious as the series went on. Almost like he knows something, was working with the killer, or something along those lines.
I feel like I’ve given this show too much credit for being clever and when it’s all said and done, the mystery thus far has all just been one giant misdirection. The killer isnt right under our noses per se. We never thought of them because we never saw them doing anything suspicious. Each ep has focused on quirky character plots and spiraling suspicion about the same thee characters without definitive resolution.
But maybe I’m just annoyed. SW dead? Seems like a huge plot misstep. Moon was an irrational, unprofessional mess. Bong was nonsensical (girl you can read a persons past. Why didn’t she think to touch Gwang Siks butt as he was dying? Or Moons after fighting with the killer?). I don’t know. Maybe killer isn’t the Secretary. Maybe it’s Cow Farmers GF.
Yes everything about his body language and eyes have changed towards Dr Bong. You can feel the difference. LMK…
I ignore the people who are obsessing about her. Watch any kdrama about a woman who is supposed to be innocent and naive and she tends to dress a certain way. As for her behavior, again she is supposed to be innocent and naive. She’s lived in that small town all her life and she has been sheltered. Whatever. People in every MDL comments page are going to nag about something they dislike. She does t bother me in this.
I keep coming back to the victims and how are they connected to the killer. 1, Streamer was a brat but could have seen something she shouldn’t have. She seems to have been blackmailing Assemblyman Cha. 2. Seung Gil doesn’t appear to have been related to Assembly man Cha but was killed sloppily. Wrong place/wrong time? 3) Barista slave was hunted down. What did she know? 3. Assemblyman Cha the most obvious and deserving victim. He was killed viciously and meticulously. Except for the blood smear on the light switch. 4. Dr. Jung clearly killed because he was a witness.
Is the killer evolving? Was the sloppiness of the early killings simply a reflection of the mania of a new killer? Is he/she becoming more controlled and confident with each killing?
I still think the real killer is someone the show hasn’t zeroed in on yet, like Cha’s Secretary who I suspected from early in the show. We have no clue what his motive could be though so I suspect the show intends to toy with us, dangling obvious suspects in front of us until the last eps.
Detective Moon’s eyes when he is looking at Bong are putting on a romance drama all on their own. Not sure exactly when that look changed from being suspicious and exasperated to…whatever this is now but man it’s intoxicating. Its warm and melty. He cares for her. He is watchful, protective, concerned. When they are together and especially when she is upset, his eyes are glued on her face.
Like I said the last two weeks in a row LMK is an amazing actor.
My favorite thing about Kim Nam Gil is his hands, how big they are. But I also really like how tall he is. And also his shoulders. I especially like how he moves. He also has a very sexy voice. But then there is also his smirk. Or his hair in literally any style. But I really really love him as a bandit, when he cocks one hip and hooks his thumb in his belt.

Let me know if it improves.

Just let people enjoy the show and speculate.

Chief: “I kind of get why your husband cheats.”
Haha. She is extreme. She’d make a good private eye.

But Shun Yu gets an A+ for boldness. Strawberry flavored condoms indeed 😁🍓😋
I love love love Kim Nam Gil.
