Kang Ji Hwan is good with mirco-expressions. It's why one of his characters that he played before was one of my favorite male leads. He was just the right actor to play this role, really.
In my mind already, ok nam and kim geum are canon. The drama points that way, so yeah. And there are hints that ok nam likes kim guem too. Their looks aren't compatible as a couple, but I like the idea of them together. Though I feel kind of bad for Jung Yi Hyun, there's still the female professor. I like her.
I agree with no.2. I hate rooting for the second leads because the writer makes them interesting so I keep having hopes up but then I know that the writer won't change canon. Then I just end up not finishing the drama (especially in the case of romantic dramas).
I have to disagree about the cinematography. Korea may not have beautiful landscapes and extravagant production…
You're right about the color filter that the drama uses, I also have a problem with it and maybe in the future the person who edited it will think back why they did such cheesy thing. But yeah, I was talking about the camera work.
I'm kind of confused. In most dramas, we know who the main couple are because the drama makes it clear who is canon and meant to be together. But here the male lead acts like a supporting character who nags a lot, though, there seems to be more to him. And the drama puts a lot of emphasis on the second guy, in what you normally anticipate for a male lead, but it's frustrating to watch because he doesn't have much depth.
This is very great news. I've been missing Chinese content because Dramafever was put down. But I think I will have to wait to see how Bambu operates first. I just hope that it translate airing dramas as well as older gems.
I can’t believed I managed to force myself to finish this drama after more than 1 month. It is unnecessarily…
I have to disagree about the cinematography. Korea may not have beautiful landscapes and extravagant production as China, but it is obvious that the cinematographer was at work in every scene in this drama.
This is one of Han Jimin notable performances. It's the first time I felt she had her character in control and it felt great to watch her. 2018 keeps giving us amazing female characters.
Honestly, I find myself watching only Na Young Joo scenes and skipping most of the drama. I even shipped her with the female lead... At this point, I should probably just drop the drama.
This was a meticulous show with a lot of details, symbolism, and references. It's a great production, for sure. But for a second watch, the editing feels too manipulative, making it too obvious that it was trying to poke at viewer's emotions.
the only good things going for this production are the cinematography, music and actors. I think that is what make people think it was good enough to rate it a 9.
2 years later and I'm still thinking of this drama. I just wanna say, I know people liked the second lead and that's why they didn't enjoy this drama as much ( and trust me I know that feeling: Wok of Love), but Lee Hwa-shin is one of the best jerk male leads ever. His character is what made this drama breathe. I thought the second lead was just a plot device. He was charming, sweet, and a gentlemen.. but almost nothing more than that to the drama.
I don't know if you would say no.1 if you saw the past Chinese dramas. They have improve vastly with their productions.
I was gonna watch All out of Love, but I heard they changed male lead or something. And I don't want heartbreak because the story is kind of similar to Autumn in my Heart.
