🛑🛑🛑to those who finish this drama answer my question pleaseQuestion1. Happy ending?2. Story?3. Chemistry?4.…
1 yes happy 2 well written, they're the definition of against all odds couple. though the subplots are not very heavy, there's lil bit palace drama, little bit of war, it's like Perfect Match. 3 chemistry - undeniable chemistry of the Main Couple. they bicker and flirt like a real life couple who started as friends. that's the vibe i get. the best thing is JZ is so good at playing the cool guy but devoted husband.. it's in the gaze. JJY is a great match. 4 Kiss scene. not much, i think they kissed less than 3 times lol (maybe the actors are not into KSs), but we get a lot of hugs, back hugs, small talks between main couple, jealous fits, princess carries, skinship like in a healthy relationship. they're so cute!
im rewatching because I missed them when VOS got released... for anyone interested. ep 27 - Jiang Baoning got injured while saving a child from a predator. Though trying to hide it, Li Qian still finds out and becomes worried so he decided to train her with a few self defense. Lo behold our Commandery Princess is such a princess she can't take exercise seriously even tried to make her maid proxy cause the training is closely monitored by LQ and even his sideman. We get a cute flashback to when they first met with the Noodles and garlic because LQ made her some for lunch as she was famished from the training (i loved that scene, crying while eating noodles because she remembers her mom, and he put garlic on it, her little temper is triggered with the crossing of line lol). She is truly his wife. They're so cute together! Guess what happened to her antics, LQ punished them 3 with the houserules, i think it was squats. Her grace herself, her maid, and his deputy man lol.
I think you’ll gradually forget about Ningqian 😅Jjy and Joseph are my parents, and I was their ultimate shipper.…
True! Im a lover of the genre and Rebirth for You is one of those gems. They had undeniable chemistry and even if the girl was not a fighter, she was one clever princess so with the equally capable husband they are such a power couple IMO. I love how they dodge the troubles in their relationship and even the angst in the final episodes.
im on ep 2 and it’s hard for me to watch because I seen rebirth for you. and theyre not a couple here. so close but yet still so far…. so this is a story about dragons and foxes huh. like ten miles of peach blossom 😁
I finished it after holding out from watching it. I revoke my previous sentiments with the characters and the story itself, this is produced in the style of early 2000’s cdramas. The development and lines of the characters are thorough and I’ve come to love the story of the main couple the consort and the prince. Hehe. This can be considered slow burn, and i get the feels of Princess WeiYoung, but less tragedy, this one is more lighthearted and both leads are clever, perfect romance drama…
I dont understand the love of the cousin...he hated her, she defended him and 30 secs later hes risking everyones…
he's a righteous man. I love characters like this. most times, plots like this is a villain origin story. but instead he chose to be a good guy. in another universe, he probably would be the male lead, if the husband was a jerk. but WS is not, so as a dutiful SML and close cousin to the ML, he gracefully backs down and just serves their grandmother like a good grandson. He even got to defend the Wei clan in the most futile battle, like come think of it, if it wasn't for him, Manman wouldn't get to give birth safely.
Rewatching this while waiting for the last stretch of episodes of Pursuit of Jade. which means, Prisoner of Beauty has gone through my cycle-process proving it's a great drama with rewatch value... When will another drama like this show up again...
i'm back watching this show again on youtube. some of the most memorable clips. the thing is the whole drama is such a vibe that it's like almost all the episodes are worth multiple rewatches. this is such a gem. one of the bits that i love is how they make found family feel natural and warm. from jian's jian's childhood to her early adulthood. even the apartment era with the 3 girls and her 2 brothers living across halls, notice that they have sort of formed a de facto family like in FRIENDS. but this is a cdrama so the distinct element is food that brings the family together. so you can see how that is being portrayed with them preparing and eating breakfast everyday before all of them go to their jobs. what a time of life indeed.
Don't know why these chinese makers are obsessed with making 90s 80s dramas can't they do more like make somthing…
i think this has been a trend lately. The main thing is about nation building. Didn't you notice the plots of recent dramas, including Shine on Me. they have focus on careers that are about how China developed over the past decades. I think this is going through that route. Their done with just cheesy rom com dramas for modern stories.
