haven't you noticed some symbolism. like BJS and HRY have similarities to adam and eve.
the mortals and the Mengs are her apple. forbidden fruit. and also her mount is a snake.
they defy the heavenly rules. and went down to the mortal realm. to have tribulations.
although not really exact with each purpose, i really can't remove the thought that their background is based on genesis.

true. they're so naive. and Hua Rue yue just followed him because it was his idea. Poor girl, she feels what she must do at times but her husband is so detached from their purpose.

this was the time when the tribulation platform or portal was not yet invented.
both BJS and Siling are naive immortal spirits (yin and yang), who naturally fell in love and haven't experience hardships before they went down to have a love tribulation. they don't know what a love tribulation is.
think like they are adam and eve in paradise. and the empyrean emissary is their higher authority, BJS keeps saying that they must follow rules. not interfere with the mortals.
Siling is conflicted with this because she acts on what she sees and she is very caring towards others.
If they had erased their memories, the love tribulation would have been far more easier to pass.

i still dont understand how it was "saved". BJS was there when she "killed" it, but now he's saying she "saved" the snake. id like a scene that shows "how". :D things just got more interesting, and major plot twist happening.

we still need an explanation on this. they just left the battle all of a sudden and we got no explanation as to how things happened like that. FL'er is on her side? the snake is alive? how? the Sect is all her people all along,? the sect leader knows her revenge plan? what happened to all the other people of the sect that didnt know ? they were left on the hill? what happened after BJS and Siling left the battle? did they cease fire?
i'm so concerned, i've seen too many familiar actors in the support roles.
there's the FL from romance of hua rong, the ML from My Girl, FL from Wulin Heroes, 3 from Perfect Match, and FL'er is from Go Ahead.

i just am not convinced that with her being so good to all kinds of creatures and beings in the world, that they would want her dead. With them being higher or more knowledgeable of all beings.

yes. her statement is what most likely started the misunderstanding. having a child would definitely be a sacrifice, but not so much that it would cost their lives because they are powerful immortal beings.
my theory is that the empyrean are just testing BJS with his task to seal Siling. they want him to lead the nine heavens or become the heavenly emperor, but he needs to understand love and sacrifice. im not sure if they really want Siling dead, but if the trial is to test if he will really sacrifice his love, then that's one. i just hope the pass is that he will defy divine orders in the name of love. or if they really want him to obey, or really sacrifice his love to save everyone else. Maybe they'll resurrect her, or give her back to him. All in his, she is his ultimate test to ascend and become the most powerful. She's designed to be his companion right from the start. they're like adam and eve. She is however in nature, very caring of all beings, one thing that is to like. They are manipulating these facts about each of their nature to gain something bigger.

i bet the other heavenly lord (a woman) was lying when she said it would harm them as immortals. or maybe she's telling the truth. the baby would indeed take some power from the parent and even become more powerful if both parents are immortals. BJS just loves Siling so much that he dont want her to suffer. motherhood is a sacrifice. even moreso for immortals.

rewatching some parts again. like Ep 41, where the emperor hits Ling Buyi with bread because this little general wants to go to war again when his wedding date is near. hahahha
this show is like a story of what ifs.
-What if the emperor is not an annoying prick/coward guy
-What if both the empress and the noble concubine are really kind and good to each other
-What if all the three heads of the palace support the main couple
-What if the FL is legitimate but her own mother bullys her
-What if the ML is not secretly a prince, just a general but is loved by the emperor like his own
-What if the FL is actually loved by her all her real family members,

joseph zheng and bai lu's acting chops are there. i just wished this show was more well produced.

i don't think the dubbing is bad. we're just used to her voice. this is actually quite refreshing for Bai Lu's roles. however, terrible sound scoring/mixing. sometimes the background music is overpowering the lines of the characters. and the sound effects are weird.

why is the intro music the same as Ashes of Love? hahahahaha

qiao family is not the typical one then. its like a complex one. but theyre all related by blood. its always like patriarch, wife, concubines, children. but the Qiaos treat their nephews and niece equally important and even cherish nephews like sons
