Glad you enjoyed the drama, it was one of my favourites! Jo Jung Suk is good in Oh My Ghostess - he plays a bossy…
Me too!. I didn't like so much her character in Hello Monster but I still ended up liking her so much. There's something about Korean dramas, for example, I didn't like so much My love from the star, I was even a bit annoyed by how dum the female lead seemed to be but I still liked her a lot!. I never not sided with the female lead, the male lead, sometimes but female leads.. always. But my top is Ha Ji Won, I loved her in Chocolate, Empress Ki, Secret Garden, haven't found how to watch What happens in Bali and then I saw her in this King 2 Hearts.... no.... I think now she's among my favorite of all actresses ever!. hahahaha. So happy to have this out there!. Not one of my friends share Asian dramas passion and I managed to get my husband to seat with me through some but it's hard to keep him awake on anything once he seats in front of a screen that's not for working or playing Go, (except for Memories of Alhambra) so there's not much sharing there either. And names... the poor finds them so hard to remember.

Oh, I didn't watch Oh my Ghostess because of the face thing again... I don't know why, sometimes there's something about people's faces... Thanks for the recommendation. Park Bo Young is so likeable definitely, I've only seen her in Strong Woman, but one loves her there. I love cameo's as well!. But one has to watch a lot to start noticing them!!. Well, since we're on the same time zone, happy weekend!
Hi Matt, I just finished watching this and really needed to share with someone and felt like you wrote exactly what I needed to express. I watched this because of Ha Ji Won, and Jo Jung Suk. I never liked his face for some reason but then watched Hospital Playlist and now I have to see more.... But I am still in the turmoil of what this drama did to me. Read your profile, and decided, I have got to write to him. ;).
I loved King2Hearts a lot, (like a lot), but it had the MOST ATROCIOUS "American" "actors" I had ever seen....then…
I wanted to write exactly what you expressed but I see that your comment sparkled a very interesting conversation, It feels wrong to even meddle specially without knowing much about the topic, but I so agree on what you said. I did love the show and found terrible the foreign actors.
You will for sure cry at least once every episode if you watch this. But the tears won't be because of manipulative formulas or music instead because of deep humane emotions.
This is a rather entertaining drama, not Wow! but entertaining . Ji Chang Wook gorgeous. They eat a lot of pizza and I really need an explanation on that pizza.... I know they eat peculiar food, or at least not very common elsewhere but the pizza was just so.... gross! I don't understand the yellow lines... what was on that?
I just read back and realised I may have gone a bit over the top. Internet is bad for me. :) I’m glad someone…
I agree that 1988 was wonderful, and one expects it to at least have a little bit of the same vibe. I couldn't connect to anything and I was a senior in High school in 1997. Don't worry if you were a bit much, that's how you felt at the time. It reads like you felt passionate in your dislike, ; ).
I like very much the passion you show in this article. I found that the best part of it. I think both countries have their own charm. And they contribute differently. I don't even see the point in comparing them. Japan seems to export more literature and Korea idols. Japan has all those legendary movie directors and films and Korea now has those too. They provide very different atmospheres. And personally, I've been to both countries and I liked Korea, but Japan blew my mind. And there's also the great and wonderful anime that we all grew up with and that seems to influence some j-dramas, and for me that's great fun.. Oh and there's the wonderful Studio Ghibli and their insightful, critical and magical stories. But Korea has Ji Chang Wook...
I read this review before starting the drama, since you mentioned you're not in to romcoms I thought, that's why you didn't like it so much. I don't really mind when they get early in the relationship, but there's more going on. You were right...I was really bored. I liked more the side couples specially Yang and Bong, and the kidnapping, felt too much. Specially on her side. All in all I also like them a lot but it took some effort to finish.
