It would be absurd. No way he can be so jolly even with the pills he pops and work 24/7. I think it's abandon issues and maybe (I know it's nuts but it's kdrama) an assault or kidnapping issue. I originally thought he and she will have flash backs which they did but possibly when at some point in their lives he saved her or they both got in some horrible situation and she left him or was taken away maybe they were kidnapped?
