pls can someone recommend a thriller and mystery drama where the male is smart and quick in solving cases like…
- "The Good Detective" (season 1), "Beyond Evil", "Stranger" (season 1 and 2) could be interesting.
- "Memorist", "Train", "Tunnel" and "Signal" were also entertaining but they contain fantasy.
- "Awaken" is nice if you don't mind that the writers made every character very stupid so the main lead appears to be very intelligent while being average, especially in the second half. If you feel "uncomfortable" while watching that drama: You have been warned. ;)

Title Cruel City
good, don’t watch it. this masterpiece doesn’t deserve to be watched by an insecure man child.
If you read carefully, you would have noticed that I defined normal as "you don't see one's sexuality/political opinion/religion". The majority of people don't display their sexuality. I know, it's trendy now to claim that one's personal fantasy was reality and to demand that we have to cater to illusions now. If you call statistics homophobic, look up the definition of homophobic, especially the meaning of -phobic. Also look up the meaning of normal. Hint: Normal does not equal good.

The behaviour by people such as Andrew Tate ("look, I'm so not-gay, I have to mention it like every 2 seconds") is NOT normal. Talking about being "not gay" and being straight 24/7 is not normal. Only a tiny minority does that, and it's suspicious. Neither is "I have to speak with a gay lisp and very loudly, so the people back in the bus definitely learn not just about my existence but also about my sexual desires" normal.

Normal people keep their sexuality to themselves. Or is that only true for straight people while so-called queer people displaying their sexuality are normal by definition? Is it true that being gay is a personality?

Acting "feminine gay" is normal within the gay community but definitely not normal within the society as a whole. This is a fact all feminine gay men know. Being feminine gay is not inherently bad, though. However, it's a choice where and when to play the role of a "feminine gay" or a "oh-so-hetero man". Context matters.

Nevertheless, I agree with you. It IS hurtful to be called "not normal", especially if one is a special snowflake who needs to feel that the world revolves around them.

Funnily, "being normal" was not desireable a couple of years ago, and nobody wanted to be called normal. It was basically an insult. So many people tried hard to be "not normal". The same people who cry now if they are called "not normal".

As a person who is not normal, I enjoy seeing normal people on screen and reading about normal people. Would you have written the same if I had written that I don't like to see MAGA hats and religions in dramas? Or is personal taste invalid only if it excludes your personal favourites? If you read carefully, you would have noticed that I did not write that "feminine gay guys should never be in any drama".

Or just me, but this actress who plays YURA looks 50 years old and even when she tried to be "cute" in front of…
There was't botox and fillers back then. She would look even more awkward in a historical setting.

Whenever I see Mr. Lee, I cannot unsee that obnoxious teacher from "Penthouse". He is so nice, it's suspicious. I always expect an unpleasant plot twist.

(The actor was fantastic in "Penthouse".)

Person Ma Dong Seok
I like how everytime he punches people in the movies, they would go off flying. He's the only one doing that 😂Ma…
He looks and acts like the Korean Bud Spencer. When Bud Spencer hit the baddies, they flew off, too.

Title My Dearest Part 2 Spoiler
I really loved this series, but it left me with some questions on what happened to a few characters. I think it…
Yeah, season 2 seems to have dropped characters to replace them with new characters which didn't get explored either. Fairly disappointing because this drama started really well. Bringing the amnesia trope twice was really unnecessary. Instead, they could have shown more about the other characters's fate.

also i'm confused by the wife's involvement in the movie. Is she the girl that he was supposed to kill but refused…
I think you are right. She must have known about his job because, otherwise, the ending would not make much sense. She didn't ask why her friend never came back from the toilet, and she wasn't much surprised that her husband visited her with the girl (but without the stepmother).

Regarding the scene with the hand, I don't know if his wife was the girl on the roof. I think that girl is dead because he said in a scene that he would never get an answer to his question, which implies that he cannot do that anymore because the girl is dead. The hand scene was probably supposed to show that this reminded him of the girl and that he will do everything to protect his wife.

Man, the makeup artist did Boa dirty. She's actually so pretty even without makeup, but the way they did her lips…
I haven't seen BoA in anything before (except about 20 years ago in maybe one or two of her music videos in the early 2000s). If she isn't a good actress, it does not matter much because her job is to make her character be hated. That's not difficult. Her plastic surgery face (be it a result of make-up or plastic surgery) suits this role, in my opinion.

I completely agree with you but that quote is actually quite realistic. Lots of people prefer other people to…
I agree. There was some self-reflection but it just catered to the next story twist. Ji-won doesn't feel like an actual person to me because it is exactly as you write: Her character changes depending on what is needed in the story. The story does not revolve around her. She revolves around the story.

The question is rather: Why do you take the opinions of random people on the internet by heart? Feel free to share…
If you read other people's opinions, I'm wondering why you claimed that "no one" did this, and "everybody" did that. That sounds as if you tried to paint yourself as the only one who wrote about the "good" things, which is not true at all.

"No matter what the relationship is, once it's started, I don't think it's right for one person to end it one-sidedly."Unless…
I completely agree with you but that quote is actually quite realistic. Lots of people prefer other people to suffer, so they can live the illusion of happiness. They do not practise what they preach. I've never perceived Ji-won as particularily intelligent or self-reflecting.

Title Marry My Husband Spoiler
This episode once again has gone to prove to me that before I take every ones comments to heart and let them influence…
The question is rather: Why do you take the opinions of random people on the internet by heart? Feel free to share your own opinion like everybody else. However, it would be great if you would allow other people to share their opinions as freely as you. There is a lot of "you" in your comment, and only a few "I".

Personally, I don't feel that Soo-min is suffering enough. Unlike Ji-won, she talks back to her MIL, and she continues manipulating people. Min-hwan seemed to be sad when she told him about the alleged miscarriage. Ji-won mentioned in one of the previous episodes that Mi-hwan is infertile, so Soo-min shedding a few tears means nothing. We also learnt that she seems to have earnt a lot of money with stocks.

I don't care about Ji-hyuk. He's a one-dimensional character. Good looking, good, and into Ji-won. His background story neither explains anything nor does it change anything. I don't see anything good here, it's just neutral information for me.

Yang is the only character I care about because she has a relatable story and she's a sweet, normal person. Unlike Ji-won who is very beautiful, child-free and has a rich boyfriend. Yang has a child, and she has to earn money to support not just her child but also her lazy husband. While Ji-won already knows everything, Yang does not know yet that her husband is a cheater. She's still interesting. I regard the future treatment neutral because a treatment is not a synonym of cure. I know a few people who got treatment for their cancer, and the majority of them died suffering. "Good news" would be that Yang's cancer is gone.

I hope this shows you that other people don't necessarily share the same opinion on what's "good" or "bad" as you, hence all opinions are valid.

wether you like it or not, this is normal in the kdrama industry. korean headlines and video titles will often…
The problem are not the normal people. The problem are the toxic netizens who cannot distinguish between the actors and their roles. Their craziness already gets enabled by all sides, and headlines such as "actor x and actor y share an intimate kiss!" just add fuel to their narcissism.

I don't see any problem with the headline of this article, though, as the actor does play the husband.

True but there are 5 episodes left. They cannot fill them with happy Ji-won and happy Ji-hyuk only.
I don't know the original source, so I don't know which ideas have not been covered yet. As long as the drama is entertaining, I don't care much. To be honest, I don't see (yet) what interesting drama Min-whan and Soo-min could produce. Ji-won and Ji-hyuk are already a couple, and neither the ex-bff nor the ex have any power over Ji-won anymore.

THAT'S BoA????? Good grief, I didn't recognise her. :(((((
Good to see that she's still sucessful. I used to listen to her music in the early 2000s but I hadn't seen her for 20 years. She seems to have had lots of plastic surgery. Or maybe it's just the lighting and make-up in the drama. I haven't watched ep. 12 yet, so I haven't seen much of her and her character yet.

I disliked the fact that Sumin's friends attended the wedding and caused a scene. These women seem to be easily…
I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this way. I don't like them, and I certainly would not celebrate what they did to Soo-min's because I know they they do that because they enjoy bullying people, not because they really want to help Ji-won. Lots of people here seem to forget: They could immediately turn around and bully Ji-won again.

I don't think that this type of toxic revenge is good for somebody who experienced toxic people for such a long time.
