Title My Dearest Part 2 Spoiler
I'm disappointed too. Part 1 was sooo good, and part 2 started promising but it felt as if the writers changed…
The last episodes don't ruin the whole drama for me either. Apart from the last fest episodes, I very much enjoyed it.

The casting is really baffling. On my small screen, Yoo Se-hyeok looks like he was 16-22 years old but the actor is born in 1991. ML's older brother looks like he was 45+ but the actor was born in 1989. ML, who is born in 1983, looks his age. I'm wondering what makes the actor portraying ML's older brother look like the older brother despite being so much younger than ML.

The mil from her first life as well as the husband ? Because her current mother in law is amazing. The half brother…
Despite the ambiguity, I immediately knew who you meant. The MIL from FL's first life has left an ever-lasting negative impression on me. Even if the new MIL were half as awesome as she currently is, there is no way one could hate her more than the ex-MIL. And there is only one female devil spawn in this drama: the adoptive mother.

I'm on ep4, surely the ML knew about or already loved the FL before they originally met right? The way he knew…
In ep. 6, you are going to see an interesting detail which might (or might not) answer your question. :)

I agree. Her character was so interesting in the beginning but, unfortunately, she was basically dropped like…
To be honest, in many cases, I find the villains are more interesting than "the good people". For example, I enjoyed the female villain in The K2 and the brother in The Good Detective 1.

LJH and GC are nice and all but I never wondered what they might do next. Their behaviour was fairly predicatble, especially after the n-th repetition of "oh noes, we have to separate once more". With the princess, I never knew whether she would try to kill ML, FL, both or somebody else. Everything was possible with her, which made her an intriguing character in my eyes. I absolutely loved her when she tried to convince LJH to share the bed with her. That bluntness is rare in K-dramas and therefore refreshing.

Well, only if you ignore that the ghost also could have monitored her on the toilet. I can't stop wondering if…
Exactly. That's why I'm always suspicious of "ghost becomes human and falls in love with the human he stalked for years" stories. Without the "past" part in this drama, I probably would not be able to watch it. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's episode.

Depends on what kind of ghost I am. If I'm bound to a human's side, I am not able to go away. At some point, bathroom and bedroom stuff probably becomes boring. I'm wondering, if I already saw everything and knew everything about a person and became human, could I still be interested in that person and fall in love with that person? Also, what would that person say, if I was like "hey, I have been watching you since you were born and know all the details"? Would that person be able to fall in love with me, given he/she does not have any fetish in my favour?

almost dropped this within the first 10 mins bec I thought it seemed corny…I could’ve slept on this incredibly…
I felt the same. In the first episode, the FL was such an annoying people pleaser. I wasn't sure if it was just bad writing or bad acting or both. However, when FL got her second chance, the actress really impressed me with her acting. So I stuck with the drama and got surprised by a well paced story full of interesting characters.

The only thing I regret is that I discovered this drama too early. Now I have to wait for the remaining episodes instead of being able to binge watch the entire drama. :(

Title Perfect Marriage Revenge Spoiler
There are plenty of evil mothers in Korean and Chinese dramas. In something in the rain, the mother could be killed…
If you want to see multiple evil mothers in one drama, watch Penthouse. ^^

Okay ,I need to know how much teachers in Korea make. My man looks like he's been teaching for like a year and…
It's basically the Western version of the "poor people loft" (usually inhabited by hot students or sexy cleaning ladies). In K-dramas, potentially poor MLs live in those lofts. Poor Korean FLs are allowed to live in smaller apartments.

Title Perfect Marriage Revenge Spoiler
who else thinks that cooking teacher lady is her biological mom?
Meeee. I've suspected that since the first encounters between her and FL because she's so nice to FL despite not knowing her (apparently), and we briefly saw her burn scar. Since it was mentioned that FL's mom had died in a fire, I don't believe that the scar is a coincidence.

If a ghost appears only occasionally, I'm very willing to believe that it isn't there in certain moments.

Unpopular Opinion: I'm obsessed with the Qing Princess character. I don't know, she just makes things so much…
I agree. Her character was so interesting in the beginning but, unfortunately, she was basically dropped like all the other interesting characters, apart from FL and ML.

I have never been annoyed and frustrated by a drama as much as i was with this. The lead couple got separated…
The last few episodes felt so draggy as if the writers dropped parts of the original story in favour of more romance scenes. I waited a few days until I watched the last episode because I didn't feel invested anymore. The only reason why I didn't drop this drama after a few episodes in part 2 were the actors. They did a phenomenal job.

Now that it had finally ended I wanna take a moment to discuss what I liked about the drama:1- that it ends2-qing…
I don't care if you call the actor ancient. You don't have to like him but please do everyone a favour and don't pretend that the FL was some barely 18yo woman. She's 32 years old. Depending on how old you are, her age is probably closer to ML's than yours to hers. She's basically ancient, too.

Title My Dearest Part 2 Spoiler
A quality historical drama but no masterpiece. I liked how the last episode was clearer about the actual history…
What bothers me most about the ending is the way how LJH survived. Nam Yeon-jun allowed him to escape. He claimed that he and his men had thrown all corpses into the ocean, yet none of the witnesses told anybody about LJH even though this was a super important mission ordered by the king himself. Makes totally sense after everybody told the king everything all the time, except in this specific moment.

I too felt that significant parts of the story were suddenly changed after a few episodes in part 2 because certain storylines (Captain Gu, for example) were dropped out of the blue for the sake of new storylines (e.g. the princess's) which were dropped for not just one but TWO amnesias. Parts of LJH's background (his family) were repeated multiple times without telling us anything new, only to reveal the whole story in the last episodes within a few minutes while talking to his dad. Instead of the first amnesia, the writer could have explored LJH's story instead of rushing through it in the last episode.

Personally, I liked FL's growth in part 2 because it made sense to me. She grew up in an idyll where all men wanted to marry her, and when the barbarians came, she learnt that most of those men died and her beauty didn't mean much anymore. She saw the suffering and dying of people around her and learnt that life was precious.

However, I was fairly baffled by ML's sudden character change because, in part 1, he made it clear that he didn't care about anyone but FL (and Ryang-eum). He was already used to war and didn't experience anything new. Nevertheless, in part 2, he suddenly saved everybody he could without hesitating. No explanation for his change of mind. Honestly, I liked the morally ambiguous ML better. :(

Title My Dearest Part 2 Spoiler
What was this ending.... This felt so rushed and uninspired (using the amnesia trope a second time in the span…
I'm disappointed too. Part 1 was sooo good, and part 2 started promising but it felt as if the writers changed significant parts after a few episodes.

They dropped the story line of interesting characters such as Captain Gu (he was portrayed as a skilled sword fighter in part 1 and started interesting in part 2 but, suddenly, he was like "bye, Gil-chae", and that's it). Rang-eum was suddenly blonde and in jail? How did he get that hair colour? Lee Jang-hyun's friends were killed within seconds in the last episode, only he "magically" survived. And many years later, Gil-chae discovers that he's still alive but has got amnesia??????? Many years later??? Since part 1, it had already been many years that had passed by, and the writers added even more years on top of those many years. Gil-chae and Lee Jang-hyun must be old. Yet, they still look as young as in episode 1.

I too wished they hadn't forced the romance so much because those romance scenes felt rather draggy. I already didn't like the amnesia episode where Lee Jang-hyun got back his memory right in time when the episode ended. And then, the writers used the same trope again.

Part 2 makes me "angry" because the writers proved with part 1 that they are very skilled and experienced.

The way he described his love for his people and his time with them, saying they are sweeter than any delicacies…
I agree. Furthermore, the crown prince is one of the few people in this drama who had a significant character development. At first, he was fairly arrogant and naive but he became wise. I'm sure he would have been a good king.

what !!are you serious man !The ML is perfect for his role
I like that he looks rather ordinary compared to more popular and younger actors. Also, I don't want to see the same few faces in each single drama. In my opinion, the actor does a good job, especially in the romantic scenes.

When I read the plot for this, it reminded me of the 2015 french movie Blind Date [Un peu, beaucoup, aveuglément],…
It's no coincidence that the plot reminded you of "Blind Date". The K-movie is a remake. :)
