This is so underrated -_- As a fan of LJW, was dreading watching it (still haven't gotten over the disappointment that was TTILY) but it's real good that I marathoned 4 eps. MCW is perfect as Swan :)
The first two episodes of Master's Sun and School 2013 didn't impress me, but I'll try them again someday. I'm very fond of YFAS and Reply 1997 though.
Popular dramas I didn't like would be Healer, Bridal Mask and Falling for Innocence. I watched 16 episodes of Healer waiting to fall in love with it like everyone else, but it never happened. In Bridal Mask, the main female character was too much to watch after 14 eps and in FFI, I didn't like the female lead.
I can only say thank you to the writers and TvN for such a memorable and heartwarming drama. It's the most touching and realistic youth/family drama EVER. Every character, every dialogue, OST became so dear to my heart. The whole drama didn't feel rushed/spontaneous and seemed like every detail was carefully planned.
Kudos to showing the 1980's as it used to be!! After finishing it, I felt so weird and melancholic. I'm a very nostalgic person by nature and suddenly missed my childhood, teen years, friends and neighbourhoods I lived in like crazy and couldn't sleep. I think that's what makes this drama special. 100/10 for me!
Annyeong, Reply 1988. Goodbye, Ssangmungdung...I'll revisit you again and again.
Thanks for the article! It's about time someone wrote a stalker's guide for dear Ryo. ^^ He is my second fave j-actor. IMO, he's one of the few idols who can act AND play different roles well.
I've watched 1 Litre of Tears, Orthros no Inu, Ryusei no Kizuna. I first saw him in Zenkai Girl (he was so sweet there), but dropped it 'cos I couldn't stand Aragaki's acting.
Got to watch Last Friends, Gomenne Seishun and Samurai Sensei soooon!! There's also Papadol and Welcome to Onmyo Shop :D
I'm feeling so nervous..First I was team Jung Hwan then boarded ship Taek. From the comments after ep 19, it seems like Taek is the husband. I feel sorry for JH but happy for Taek. Honestly, nothing's sure till ep 20's aired. There could be a twist and a major heartbreak. I don't mind either one of them being the hubby. I guess I prefer Taek more with Deok Sun though. JH just used to treat her like a friend, tease her but I could see how DS gradually grew to like Taek unlike before how she just one day ended up liking SW and JH..I think she took Dong Ryong's words to heart.
But it doesn't matter at the end. I still think this one is the best Reply drama and best family/friendship drama ever. So I'll rate it 10 no matter what happens in the final ep. No drama is more deserving than this.
This was an entertaining year for kdramas in general and I was fretting about choosing only one for each category. So it's a relief we can select multiple options. Especially for
1) Best Villain - Nam Gung Min (TGWSS), Do Kyung Soo (I Remember You) and Im Joo Hwan (Oh My Ghost)
2) Best Idol - Do Kyung Soo (IRY), Hyeri (Reply 1988) and Eun Ji (Cheer Up!)
3) Best Upcoming Actor - Byun Yo Han, Lee Won Gun and Park Bo Gum
4) Best Bromance - I Remember You, Reply 1988 and Cheer Up!

Great article, btw! :)
