The nuance of showing kindness by putting sword on the necks of the soldiers/followers during the fights, letting them know they could have been dead then pushed them off or only injured them, I've never seen that before. I like it.

If I remember correctly, the monk said in one of the earlier episode that the poison and the treatment he received changed his appearance significantly that even the people closest to him would not recognize him.
