Am I the only one who gets frustrated watching scenes where the characters are SUPPOSED to be quiet because they're trying to escape or do something on the sly and there are people all around looking for them, etc.......yet those characters TALK VERY LOUDLY, PROTEST very loudly when the other person is trying to get them to BE QUIET, and in general do the very OPPOSITE of what normal people would do when they're in a situation like that?
I literally want to reach through the screen and SLAP them, then plaster duct tape across their mouths. GOOD GRIEF.
I just finished the final episode, and I am so happy with the ending.
Many Japanese BLs are hard for me to get into. Especially the ones where the characters are salary-men, wear suits all the time, and they're just very.....repressed.....in the way they express attraction and desire. It's so stiff and formal and uncomfortable.
While "10 Things" had those characteristics, it also had an unexpected warmth and really touched my heart. I loved the two main characters so much and rooted for them to work things out and be happy.
So glad I stuck with this series. I **really** enjoyed it.
I wish the makeup artists would be consistent with how much makeup (especially lipstick / lip gloss) they apply to the male characters.
In the scene where Prince Saenkaew and Sasin meet on the train platform (via the usual tired trope of the prince losing his balance and falling into the arms of Sasin (eye-roll) ), the prince is hardly wearing much lipstick / gloss. He looks great.
But in a slightly later scene, he looks like some company's commercial advertisement for lip gloss. SO much cotton-candy pink on his lips, it's ridiculous.
I see this problem in a lot of series, not just LiTM.
As it unfolded, the actual, real-life chemistry between the leads - not just between their characters - became stronger and stronger. I've seen a number of their off-screen interactions, interviews and fan meetings, and their chemistry is quite real. Physically, they are incredibly comfortable with each other, and that warmth and intimacy really translated to their screen performance.
I know Taiwanese actors rarely pair up as onscreen couples for multiple projects, but I really hope to see them again. They are so good together.
Feels like only one of them is checked in. This is a downside of fixed pairs unfortunately. Both need to feel…
Since Boun started having more health issues (he has a leaky heart valve, arrhythmia, and was born with a misshapen breastbone that actually presses on his heart when it shouldn't be touching it at all), it seems like he and Prem have really pulled back from their projects.
And when they DO take on a project, the chemistry they used to have is toned down to the point of almost nonexistence.
Especially considering all of that ^^^, I do admire them for sticking together as far as them supporting each other. They both refuse to work with any other acting partner.
But it just doesn't help their projects if the on-screen chemistry isn't there.
i was shocked by the white haired ming cook... is he maybe a souble agent or something. seeing how he spoke korean…
So far, I have not seen him betray his country at all.
Rather, he is UPHOLDING his own sense of morality, fair play and honor, and I think he feels that he is also honoring the Ming as well.
The Korean monk saved his life and for 5 years, taught him all about cooking Joseon dishes. He is very grateful for that.
The Ming cook absolutely loves and honors his own country, but he will also not allow physical harm or underhanded tactics to affect the Korean cooks' chances. He respects them too much, and he wants to see their very best efforts, which is the same expectation he has of his own cooks.
He only wants the Ming to win if it's an absolutely fair and above-board contest.
I get SOOOOOOOOOOO frustrated with shows that are written so the characters KEEP ON, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER, refusing to STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES, refusing to TALK TO EACH OTHER and refusing to CLEAR MISUNDERSTANDINGS UP.
In: **keeps seeing a tattoo in his visions that might be connected to the threat against Thap**
Also In: **refuses to tell anyone about the tattoo, thus HINDERING the investigation and PERPETUATING the threat against the person he supposedly loves**
In: **stands outside the hospital room of Thap (the person he supposedly loves) and overhears Thap's family saying he and Wan should get back together just because Wan donated some blood**
Also In: ** despite his RAGING abandonment issues and despite having fought SO HARD to overcome those and let Thap into his heart, decides NOT to walk into the hospital room to visit Thap as he's recovering from surgery, decides NOT to lay claim on his man so that the family and Wan all know Thap is taken, decides NOT to answer any of Thap's phone calls, decides NOT to stick around, instead choosing to go back to his house, pack up and leave.
This kind of repetitive and TIRESOME AF trope RUINS shows for me.

Why can't script writers write LOGICAL scenes?

When he pushed the "Back" button for the final time and the page was blank, I burst into tears. Not sure why that hit me so hard.
I hope there's a happy ending after this. I'm not sure my heart can take it, otherwise.
EDIT: Nevermind. I got my answer in the first few minutes of Ep 1. Good grief. Awful. And the dialogue - who WRITES that kind of crap? GEEZUS.
I literally don't understand why these particular so-called "actors" keep getting series offered to them.

This is from a fan meeting in Taipei. I'm pretty sure it's fan service, but the intense kisses have a lot of ppl thinking they are dating IRL.

And the special effects when they taste the food crack me up. Great, great stuff.

Victor and Veera.
Absolutely devastating. My heart hurts so much.
There's nothing else to say.
But....I don't think SSY knows HY is an Enigma yet, so that's part of it, too.
HY (the Enigma) ends up permanently marking SSY (S-class Alpha) to save his life. I get that part.
But why does HY then say "Be my exclusive Omega" to SSY?
Why didn't he say "Be my exclusive Alpha?"
Is that the correct dialogue (and if so, why).......or did the translator make a mistake when dubbing?
EDIT:
Nevermind, I just realized the reason HY said that. He hasn't yet told SSY that he's an Enigma.
HY is still pretending to be an S-Class Alpha, which is why he "joked" about SSY being his "exclusive Omega."
