About a month ago, I watched the first episode and didn't go back because I knew what I was getting into and so it sat on my "continue to watch" on Netflix but 2 days ago I suddenly had the urge to watch this and so I did and binged it across a few days.
I'm pretty sure I had tears in my eyes for at least half of the series and definitely during the last 6 or 7 episodes. This show is melodrama done right as so many have sad and it was a tearjerker for me.
These kind of endings always hits me hard and is the reason I avoid melodramas in general, I much prefer murder mysteries, thrillers, rom-coms over a melodrama
I gave this a 9.5/10, I need to watch something more light-hearted, might watch "Fight My Way", which is a show that I watched up to episode 10 back in 2017, I think I will have to start over with that one.
What's up with the comments?? The latest comments seem to be from 13 days ago.
We're 6 episodes in and not much has really happened to be honest, I'm on board for the most part. I had to check the first episode of AoS Season 1 to see if they're using the same actress for adult Naksu and indeed they are. I still do prefer Jung So Min's version but that's because we had 20 brilliant episodes with her and most of us fell in love with her character, I get that for all intents and purposes this is the same character with a new face and amnesia.
I've noticed a lot of people think rating something a 6 or 7 is low, as if they are stuck on the grading system…
Valid point, I usually deduct points away from a score for stuff that I consider cons or weak points. If there is a show that ticks all the boxes for me and has me entertained throughout the series, that is a true gem like Signal for example.
" Gestures, facial expressions and, above all, character is totally different."I agree with you somewhat but Naksu…
I believe Bu Yeon's soul was destroyed but her body still exists but has transformed to look more like Naksu since only Naksu's soul is left in there. It sounds terrible and I hope I'm wrong.
She is in everything I watch, lol and I like her, but I think she did only a bit too much plastic surgery...
She looks like she is addicted to it unfortunately, in "May It Please the Court", it seemed like she had a lot of red surgery scars on her face. She is attractive but the plastic surgery is taking a toll on her from the looks of it.
Most of the review verdicts are that it is just "decent" to "meh" but the MDL rating is 8.6, which kinda feels contradictory to what the user reviews are saying.
Decent season for the show, probably not as good as season 1 if I remember correctly.
The ending on Netflix (not sure if it was edited) but just seemed rushed as we didn't really see what became of the characters in the aftermath besides our cop team.
Don't hesitate to watch this, it was a fantastic watch. I fell in love with all the characters, their chemistry, the hurt, everything was done so well.
I absolutely loved the references to Signal, it just made me love Daeil character even more. I will definitely miss this cast, I gave this series a 10/10.
I'm watching this on Netflix and I keep forgetting that Netflix heavily edits K-dramas particularly when music is involved and obviously to do with licensing issues. It just freaking sucks.
I'm watching episode 20 of the hour-long version and the part where the father sings his song whilst playing the guitar, which is a really important scene is just straight up cut out from the Netflix edited version.
I don't know if Netflix does the same with anime, but it doesn't matter too much for me as I avoid all anime streaming sites or services that have anime on them like Netflix, Amazon, Disney Plus has I simply don't trust the subtitles they use as it's often low-effort subtitles, so it's never usually translated well when compared to fansubs.
The show is a mess and the comments below wanting the 2nd FL to get it with the lead are weird. She's got a bf and is falling for the lead, at least break up with your bf because right now at ep 13, she's making her bf into a bit of a cuck. It's not innocent, it's scummy behaviour.
I forgot to update my profile in regards to finishing it. I just don't remember but I do remember it being rather charming and the funny thing is that Gong Shim's wig made it look like she was 10 years older and she looks really young with her natural hair.
The show overall was predictable but funny, so I'm giving it a 8/10.

Personally, I do like it when the actress is more of a Noona even though this one is 2 years older. Plus Jung So Min is just adorable.

Overall, I scored it a 8 to 8.5 out of 10.
