Started off with a lot of potential, but got really bogged down. I feel like the writers couldn't make up their minds where the story should go, so we got a meandering, nonsensical plot with inconsistent characters. For dramas in the same time period that are much better written, check out "Fall in Love" with Chen XingXu or "Arsenal military academy" with Xu Kai. Both really great with tons of chemistry between the leads!
This was pretty entertaining, the chemistry between the leads really sells it. The first episode was cringe, but it got better as it went along. Villain did not receive any kind of justice or consequences for her evil deeds and that bothered me a lot. FL was a little too much of a saint, but overall a good drama to pass the time.

The Emperor hitting his son in the back was so despicable! Seriously, his wife and other children need to leave too. I was so scared he threw that Oblivion stake at him. It would erase the shard memories, but would it also cut him off from emotions again? Pure evil. He had no problem letting the Heavenly realm be without Youqin once, they can be without him again.
Crazy story. At first I was creeped out by the Uncle being so protective of his niece but it ended up being fine. They could have achieved the same forced marriage trope with out such a silly, weird set up. The writing was poor, with tons of roll your eyes moments of people doing stupid things but "they can't say anything to protect you" and "some day they will thank me". It was so over the top ridiculous. Chemistry wasn't really there, best male character was the brother Tawan. SFL was really despicable but never took responsibility for her actions. All in all, it an okay drama, I didn't hate it, but it was far from good.
Meh. Draggy with no chemistry between the leads. I felt like in the end he only liked her because he felt sorry for her, and she was nice. Both characters felt really flat.
The trailer for the next episodes have me so anxious! What's going on with the creepy eyed teacher's aid? My guess is Youqin gets imprisoned in that lightning thing for doing something to him...

The Heavenly Empress is sweet, but I hope we see her have more of a backbone. She hasn't put up much of a fight for her son... I'd like to see her stand up the the Emperor
The episode were so good today!! I legit cried for the three shards, and then again with Youqin's love confession ❤️🥹 whoever is writing this really knows how to pull the heart strings. CXX is really incredible, I love how now with Youqin you can still see each shard but it's also different.
The Heavenly Emperor is the true heartless one. He is not happy his son is alive, and only will allow it so long as his son is an emotionless robot/puppet to be used. I really want Youqin to defeat him!
Pros: Beautiful and smart female lead, Awesome and hilarious Mother-in-law
Cons: unattractive baby-ish Male lead who casually RAPED the female lead and felt zero remorse, and commented "you made me angry first" WTH?! . (How are we supposed to believe women are fighting over him? He was such a little punk) Super annoying SFl, terrible supporting characters who all hate the FL.
The story did not develope, poor writing. No chemistry between the leads who argued the entire series, and never really seemed to fall in love or have real Sweetness. The villains never received justice. All in all, a waste. The female lead could have done much better. I felt the ML and SFL deserved each other. Alas, at least the MIL ended up happy.
