LOF opening ( only lady version) OST n ending ( both M& FM sang) OSTs r awesome :). All songs r nice
I’ve only found and heard the OST sung by WYB. Love it! Such a nice soothing voice and melody. I can’t believe the amount of comments I’ve read saying how much they hate it!
Or I guess not.... this story has absolutely nothing to do with the old version, judging from the trailer. The…
This seems to be based very loosely on the older series so you can’t really compare them. As it looks like there will be new characters and potentially differences in characteristics.
I have met and spoken to people that are from villages and rural areas. They do not have what you would call the “country look”. There are not much differences between country and city people. I’d say for some just their dress sense and having a fresh glow to themselves. With the present times it would make sense for the drama to be in line with what “country” look is like now rather than what it was decades ago.
The series was quite enjoyable but some actors/actresses got far too much screen time than necessary. I understand Long Qing plays an important role in the plot but I skipped 98% of his scenes. In the name of Ning Que, Long Qing is fei chai.
I liked the FL but after episode 5/6 she became annoying. I think her character and actions are meant to be funny but it’s just irritating me instead. In what episode does she become likeable again? Or what episode does the misunderstandings between the leads get resolved?
I hope they’ll be a be working with the manhua’s author Xia Da. I absolutely loved the manhua but sadly it went on hiatus due to her previously crappy studio retaining the rights to her work which includes Chang ge Xing. I remember reading somewhere online in an interview with Xia Da she already had the ending thought out and how it should end.
Absolutely brilliant, I didn’t expect the series to be that funny (obv with some sad moments). 9.5/10
I’m still upset about Fuheng, Empress Fuca and Mingyu’s deaths. I feel Mingyu’s death was unnecessary and the story with consort Shun (ep60-65) was the only boring part in the series.
Does Wei Ying Luo still love Fuheng? In the last episode where Halihancha asks her Fuheng’s question about promises and protecting him in the next life, she replied with okay. Remember when the maid asked Fuheng about being together in the next life and he straight up rejected her? I think WYL isn’t the type to lie and say okay.
Story of Ming Lan; intelligent FL. Not much fighting though. More of a slice-of-life.
Thank you for the suggestion! Seen the drama already and I enjoyed that drama a lot (although there were a lot of draggy side plots and too much focus on the side characters that I didn’t enjoy or had interest in)
Lost Love in Times- Clear and intelligent storyline- Strong ML and astute FL- Badass fighters- Mesmerizing choreography…
I tried watching it previously but had to put it on hold because I wasn’t really in the mood. I’ll try to watch it again at some point later on as it seems too serious of a for me rn. Thanks for the suggestion!
Finished the drama just there and absolutely loved it. I usually tend to avoid historical costume cdrama because of its sad/confusing/cliffhanger ending or the plot drags and/or deteriorates. Thankfully L&R had none of that and from the comments, the drama seemed to have stayed true to the novel with little to no changes.
Surprisingly I liked the FL, I initially thought the FL would be similar to the FL in AoL (I dropped AoL because I couldn’t stand the FL’s character and personality), thankfully Xuanji is strong and can protect the ML as well. There are a few misunderstandings but what I like is that the ML and FL continue to trust each other. I also prefer L&R over to TMOPB.
Can anyone recommend a historical cdrama with a strong FL, with a happy ending and no (or hardly any) annoying characters?
According to the Wikipedia - Love and Redemption page: "Xuan Ji's six senses were weak and almost obsolete. She…
I just finished that episode! Thank you for letting me know it won’t be full of angst until the end. If that was the case I don’t think my heart could take anymore of Sifeng’s suffering

Anyone that has read the novel, is it a happy or sad ending? As much as I am excited for this drama I don’t watch dramas with a sad ending.

mention it (at least not in the firstborn few episodes).
