While I enjoyed it, and quite a lot, actually, the story was pretty average as best, and the show had the most unbearable and boring 2nd arc in the franchise which literally led to nothing. It also became ridiculously silly with how it portrayed the humagears in its final arc. Obviously covid was the reason for its ups and downs so the mess was expected but overall it still managed to deliver a satisfying ending. Funny enough, I literally picked it up just because I loved Zero-One suit and wanted to see it in action as well as I was curious what kind of upgrades he'll have lmao and I was not disappointed save for the side forms which I completely loathe, they're the most thing I can hardly tolerate in the Kamen Rider franchise save for Kuuga and Agito side forms for whatever reason lol
I don't see how being done in Super Sentai would improve it? It's just a matter of having a good staff to realize…
I'm saying it would have probably been more fitting for Super Sentai than Kamen Rider, It's hard to tell how it would've turned out compared to how Gotchard turned out, tho.
I don't know much about the producers but what you're saying is making a lot of sense to me, Gotchard gave me Sentai vibes from the get go.
But I'm probably mixing things up, I think it's the setting of Gotchard overall is what felt Sentai-ish to me than alchemy itself.
It just have to be better than Gotchard, it doesn't have to be a great season of the best one of all time. Just good enough to make me forgot Gotchard ever happened!
EDIT: I'm loving the suits already, Gotchard suits were a big no to me save for Platina Gotchard and Build Genius Form, and somewhat Legend base form and Valvarad Kurogane.
I watch kamen rider as well as dramas (mostly kdramas and cdramas, sometimes lakorn, rarely jdramas bcuz their…
Well, tokusatsu shows are Jdrama at the end of the day, just aimed at a younger audience like anime, that's why the 2, especially since they come from the same country have so many similarities to the point it's safe to call tokusatsu live action anime and vice versa, anime is animated tokusatsu, but it's still Jdrama, and even Jdrama minus tokusatsu can be seen as live action anime without the shonen gimmicks and troops, and superpowers, but meant for older audiences, most of it anyways.
All Japanese productions share several things in common, that's something you notice after watching many of their movies, dramas, tokusatsu and anime..
Fun thing I noticed, kamen rider fans here usually don't watch anything or almost anything else which makes itEast…
Kdrama fans are the dominant here, the site itself is almost about nothing other than Kdrama, everything else seems to be secondary here, except for probably Cdrama which comes a bit closer to the Kdrama dominance. I would say it's more like this: Kdrama fans > Cdrama fans > everything else fans. The Kdrama fandom is so large that you can divide it by genre and romance fans come at top.
Not a great season, good plot but terrible writing, terrible execution, terrible production and some mediocre acting too, too slow to get anywhere at the start and too rushed at the end, several things left unresolved with too much garbage filler and random things the show could've done without or should have been left for a movie such as the Legend arc, but despite how bad it was, it was still fun to watch making me able to pull through it, admittedly more watchable than Hibiki. Without forgetting the letdown of the first female secondary rider they gave us.
I sure hope Gavv will be better.
On a side note, I can't help but think this alchemy idea would have probably worked better in Super Sentai.
This drama was a unique one and is one of the few that got me really excited while watching and it was the least I expected to get me excited, seriously, during fight scenes I felt like I was there myself lol I surely welcome the second season if it'll be the same or better.
Beom Seok was too pathetic, especially for blaming Young Yi for his actions, what a loser. Cracked me up when he told her and I hate she let it get to her and left.
Try not to cry.
Cry a lot.
Jokes aside, it makes no sense how.. ahh Iz.. ahem Azu even exists.

I hope it's as good or even better.
