I'm not really sure what to think about this one, a lot of plot armor and forced outcomes and exaggeration and wasted characters and plotlines and it feels like it goes nowhere but overall it have the happiest ending imho out of all first 4 Heisei Riders.
I'm honestly not sure if I'm more disappointed by the show ending or this alternate ending but overall I think I prefer this more since there's no undoing everything that happened and Shinji doesn't die at the end, however, the way it ended makes it feel that it ties back to ep49 battle when Shinji died, expect for the part that Shiro Kanzaki is gone for good so no Odin fight? So it doesn't tie? Not sure, but, anyways, this > show ending. Also Ryuga which I WISH was in the show, he's the missing link inho. Making everything that happened, happened because Shinji broke a promise was WILD.
Also Kamen Rider Femme, really wish she was in the show too.
And AGITO CAST!!!!!!! I DID NOT EXPECT THAT!!!!!!! NOW I HAVE QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!! WHY THE VS SPECIAL WASN'T A PROPER VS MOVIE, THEY CLEARLY COULD GET THE CAST BACK COULDN'T THEY.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Came back again for another watch! This time I must say, I REALLY HATE the ending and how indecisive and stupid and childish Shinji was throughout the entire show, and how he basically achieved pretty much absolutely NOTHING, I hate the failure he was making me want to rewrite the show myself! It's also safe to say despite being the titular character the show wasn't his at all, he was only at best only an observer of the Rider Fight going around him and nothing else... :/ In fact, you could remove him entirely and the show will still work the same with Knight at the helm... He doesn't even make it to the final fight... :/ And I think I finally get the final episode, everything was redone from the time Shiro and Yui were kids locked in that, everything was redone with no monsters and no Riders and no nothing, in other words, everything happen was undone just like that which pisses me off more. But despite the huge disappoint or rather frustration I have after this rewatch, I can't help but still love this show and its characters.
Disappointing last 3 episodes and it was somewhat jarring with just a single rider throughout the whole show but it was good enough to make me want to marathon all early Heisei Riders up to Decade, and not stop after Agito which I've been wanting to watch for years with this season. I might rewatch Ryuki while at it, why not!! Also I love how simple the suits were back then, not much going on and no try hards making them hard to dig, I wish they still made them like that. Last thing, I just love how down to realism and mature as possible it was with heavy police involvement unlike any other superhero/show movie out there I've seen, this was just too unique, but I wish they delved more into the Grongi...
what a terrible remake, hamfisted with the most nonsensical social commentary , with the ending literally saying…
Honestly the Shin Kamen Rider was good and got me excited for this but I completely regret picking it up and while I haven't finished the original series yet I can tell how much they butchered it up with this remake. Makes me want to continue the original series right now just I ever seen this or it ever existed lol
I'm only halfway through but it's really grotesque, I don't know if I want to continue... I feel like you have…
I had to force myself through the second half and I regret ever picking this show up, it is bad for a lot of reasons but mainly because it doesn't even focus on it's own supposedly main and titular character, throughout the entire thing he really felt like nothing but a guest character and that was beyond annoying more than anything else.
Best season out of the 3, it was too damn good from start to finish, although I didn't like they didn't kill Raul, Balsa didn't fight Hugo and the Talsh emperor not appearing, a bit of disappoint but I can overlook it thanks to how good and entertaining it was, the only thing I don't think I can overlook is how Balsa was treated as a side or supporting characters at best towards the final episodes despite having more screen time than the rest.
Ahh!! Yes, the drama followed the novels but changed the order of the events. The Guardian of the Darkness is…
I'm surprised not all books focus on Balsa tbh kinda disappointing lol but anyways I really thought the entire Chagum story in both seasons 2 and 3 was original, I had this picture in my head that it's a series of Balsa protecting troubled kids mixed in some supernatural troubles every other book, wars just felt out of place but I think I did realize it at some point while watching s03 (which was too good btw) didn't care much till now, tho. Well, can't comment on the changes and reordering + characters they left out unless I read the books but judging from Yami no Moribito manga which I'm reading right now (I'm totally digging the art style) is making me wonder if keeping Logsam alive in the drama was the right call or not, anyways, mixing books if Balsa didn't appear in all and skipping others all makes sense I guess.
Okay.... my honest reaction to the ending was WTF WAS THAT!?!! Why the hell would she risk her life for a SINGLE…
Shonen is meant primarily for young boys so it's understandable but there is a good chuck of female lead action anime nonetheless, Moribito is just one of many.
i dont want to be a snob but the anime is a thousand times better. not only because the visual world building…
It's because they changed several things and characters and tried to be original which is okay if you do it right, the anime makers did be original too by fleshing out the story but did it better. I feel they tried to fix several characters in S02, especially the King's character I'd say being a Japanese live action production meant a lot of limitations but they did do what they could with the world building visuals.

Watch the anime alternative adaptation if you haven't yet, it's miles better than this drama, it's what brought me here myself seeking more filling the gap the anime left in me lol NOT SPOILERS because key events are the same lol: No conflict between the 2 empresses in the anime too or the manga, neither this drama, which I guess says it doesn't exist in the books too, Sagum's mother is pretty much nonexistent.
Did they go original with this season or change the order of events? Or skipped some of them? Because as I know Balsa goes back to Kanbal right after saving and parting ways with Chagum.
They didn't only portray the king wrong, they literally and totally butchered his character, I may have enjoyed it at first but by the end it was sarcastic. Chagum throwing the egg was the most laughable change they made lmao
