I'm waiting till tomorrow to watch the first 4 eps of the dating era together, but it's a special form of torture that I can't describe, and I just realized that putting myself through it is so unnecessary, but I choose to do so anyway.

Indian-Canadian here, totally agree. I find it really interesting that a company choosing foreign products over domestic ones can be enough to get them cancelled for not supporting the government or something like that. In fact, I got a lot of that amusing feeling while watching YAMG. And this feeling is nothing like hate or discrimination, but more of curiosity about how other countries run socially and the strong beliefs they have.

Based on the previews for the upcoming episodes, I think we'll be getting one either in episode 25 or 27. But either way, I can't wait!!

I had a feeling he would be due the the picture of a lab coat and stethoscope on the episodes for the 4th in the calendar released by SWL's studio for week 2, but the preview for episode 27 just confirmed my doubts. I can't wait to see LYS back in his field and see our girl supporting him!

Agreed! When she blamed NXG of sabotaging her interview and then acted all high and mighty when she decided to be the bigger person and not call the HR manager at the company, I wanted to give her a reality check so bad because money actually CAN buy things, and she should be glad that NXG is down to earth and not spoiled. Also, in that scene, ZX really pissed me off because how could he let everyone talk badly about her and call her a spoiled rich kid and insult her when her money quite literally saved his mother's life? Sure, he paid it back with interest, but that was after he was able to get the money. If not for her giving him all of her saved up money with 0 guarantee of when/if she was gonna get it back, he and his brother would be orphans!

What's funny is I can perfectly imagine that in my head, facial expressions and all! 😂

I love your comparison of the FL and her having her own light, as the show's name is quite literally 'Shine on Me'!! I completely agree with everything you're saying, though. I hope in the future ZX can overcome his inferiority complex and find someone who's right for him, that's NOT Ye Rong.

I didn't even know multiple platforms bought shows like that! I thought a few showed interest, and they negotiate, and the highest paying gets it. But thank you for the info! While I was aware of the popularity of the leads, I had no clue about the promo for this drama, as my only sources for any promo are TikTok and Instagram, which aren't usually used.

I would say that's very location-based. With Viki, I agree, however, as someone who lives in North America, Netflix has a minimal selection of Cdramas as their main specialty is Kdramas. However, what I'm mostly shocked about is the fact that two Chinese streaming sites have the same ongoing drama, which I've never seen before. But I am still pretty new to the scene, so it may be common, but I just don't know.

I hate when people can't separate an actor and a character in their minds. If anything, LWM is just that much better of an actor for everyone to hate the SML this much. I hope things get better soon and he can stay unaffected by everything and doesn't become another victim of cyberbullying from crazy netizens.

Could someone explain how this drama is airing on so many platforms, please? The MDL page says the original network is Tencent, in which case it would be on Tencent and WeTV since they're the same, and maybe Netflix or Viki or something, but this is the first time I've seen a drama be on both Tencent/WeTV and iQiyi at the same time and also be on both Viki and Netflix. Is there something special about this drama and its production, or is it just that many platforms happened to buy the streaming rights for it?

I hope that's how the end will be. I really loved You Are My Glory and rewatch it at least once every few months, so I think I'll enjoy this drama more knowing it's the same author. One of the things I love about YAMG is the episode of their married life at the end, so I really hope we get the same thing with this drama.

4 episodes in and the ML has been in about 4 scenes total, and the SML is pmo. But I think the ML is gonna be in more episodes now. I like the vibe of the show so far. I've been waiting for this drama for a long time, so hopefully, it lives up to expectations.
