i love how modern is this drama from this point of view. young people that want to live for themselves and find their own happiness despite their parents and society narrow views. i think daddy dearest is going to get the second middle finger of the week very soon

theme of the episode is love. 3 sides of love to be specific. Qinlang and Changyang are mature love between people that keep choosing each other and are there for each other no matter what. Hanlu and Hao Yu are youthfull but shallow love (polluted by entertinment business mechanisms), this is made explicit by the way their segment is shot, bright pastels colors, more a psychedelic dream than reality. it looks made of plastic, because it's made of plastic. then we have the heart breaking spiritual "manage a trois" between Qintian, the boy in a coma and Wenshu, that basically represent guilt and the inability of moving on. both Qintian and Wenshu are trapped in this cage of their making and unable to break free, unless untill something happens that will make Qintian open his eyes i hope. but i trust Zelia not to serve us unnecessary dramas
