Nirvana in Fire, is amazing. I'm still watching it. Hopefully this doesn't disappoint.
you are absolutely right regarding sequels! I misread your comment, I thought you were referring to Nirvana in Fire not disappointing. I was responding to that. Yeah, Nirvana in Fire 2 has huge shoes to fill. I barely finished NIF and loved it.
Wow! This movie was so beautiful. I decided to watch because of Mark Chao (did not disappoint) but I did not expect much, I loved it. Highly recommend. Stay until the last second.
I'm super green on historical Chinese dramas, I just finished watching my first two. I'm excited about the King's Woman. The trailer looks awesome and I love the main actors for this. I think Ode to Joy will be my next drama. I've read good things about this one. Nirvana in Fire was amazing. I loved it. Probably won't watch the second part.
I kept reading so many recommendations and positive things about this drama, but when I tried it the fist couple of times I could not get into it at all. I think the first thing was that I had never watched a chinese historical drama and could not understand the large cast. Then I watched Eternal Love, and loved it. I went back to NIF while I was hungover from Eternal Love, and LOVED Nirvana in Fire. I didn't skip an episode. I stayed up till really late watching this. It was like a mixture of Count of Monte Cristo meets Sherlock Holmes. Game of Thrones lite. Highly recommend. Worthy of the fame and compliments.
Theaters where you can watch it when it does get released in the US. http://wellgousa.com/theatrical/once-upon-a-time#showtimes
thanks so much for the info. The closest theater is only 24 miles away. TT.TT . It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't L.A. were 24 miles equals 2 hours away for the most part :( but still will brave through traffic. I believe it's worth watching int he big screen.
I liked it. The ending got me kicking, Gong Yoooooo!!!!
It does have scenes that show nudity. I won't say it's overly done, but definitely way more than what they show in a drama. I hope this helps. I think the rating for this one is 19yrs, or R depending on Korean or US rating. I hope this helps. It's a good movie, but the content is adultery.
Thanks so much for the recommendation. This show is awesome. Only downside is waiting for the episodes to be subbed. I'm grateful that it is indeed getting subbed, so, there is that. But I like it so much, it's hard to wait!! Satomi Ishihara is one of my favorite Japanese actresses and she is really knocking out of the park with this character. Again, thank you for writing this article, I don't know when I would have found out about this drama otherwise.
Excellent article. I've watched and enjoyed both Love 020 and Boss and Me. I did not know they were from the same author. I like how well thought out the characters were. and I you say they feel like slice of slice. I also agree that at times they are slow, but overall you feel like you are observing their life and it becomes comfortable and familiar. Re: Shen Shen, I feel like she showed a lot of growth at the end. I enjoyed seeing her go from dependent to independent and self assured I will put My Sunshine in my PTW list. Again, thanks for the article. It was very insightful.
HI! I really enjoyed the first episode and look forward to future. I am hoping to get some help in understanding the contract marriage as presented here. Are they married or not? They said a change address, but not a change in the registry? what does that mean? are they legally married or not? I would appreciate any insight on this. Thanks!!
