This was my first Korean Drama. I was mesmerized at how much I just did not understand. Why is he carrying her on his back? Why are they eating on the floor? Why is his hair like that?? lol!!! Aaah, my days of Kdrama innocence.
Regardless of what I personally think of episodes 21 and 22, I believe that the production must have done those eps. that way on purpose. Boy has it created internet buzz and discussions about it. Smart -----but crazy! lol

Thank you! I love Kim NamGil (obvious, right?;)!!! I still have not watched QSK. I have only watched 1 fusion Sageuk and never really watched a historical. QSK, with so many episodes it seems overwhelming; but now that I'm becoming more familiar with the genre (I'm watching Empress Ki), I feel less intimidated about it. I will watch it one day if only for KNG, whom like you said only gets praised for that role. Take care!

Thanks for befriending me!
May I say I'm in love with your page.
Re the Anime/Manga: Have you read Skip Beat! ? I think that's my favorite. I've been infatuated with it for almost 10 years.
With just your gifs I'm sold on Cruel City. I've been curious about it, but have been putting it off because it seems intense. It looks like the good kind of intense.
Also, I love Big Bang and 2NE1 as well.
Hope you keep suggesting good dramas. Take care! :)
Can't say that I was awed, but it was worth the marathon. I like the story and the acting, yet I felt like there was 'something' missing. I just don't know what it was exactly. The only way I can describe it is that it felt linear. I needed more depths in some areas and more development in others. IDK. I would give it a 7.5 (if such a thing existed here :)
Starved and thirsty she drags the king half way across the country but now a little cut makes her faint? disappointing…
I haven't watched EP. 22 yet, but I have been wondering if her kick-a$$/bada$$ woman powers come and go as they please.
I agree with Sternchen about lack of proper character development. Though, regardless of these and other shortcomings I must admit, I'm still really enjoying the drama and have been marathoning it since Monday.
This drama makes me want to live tweet and ask questions as it goes along.
Such as: How can a woman who got pregnant several months after the other, give birth to a baby at the same time?????
AND: Does anyone know if the translation matches how the type of Korean used in the drama? There is a lot of slang used in the Hulu/Dramafever translation.
Though I can't say I like it as well as I liked "In Time With You", I can say that I really enjoyed it. It's a quick watch at just 13 episodes. I got confused with the happenings on episodes 10 and 11(I think), but it was over all an enjoyable drama.
It took me a while to watch this drama. There was too much hype around it. I wasn't sure if it was for me. I had nothing else to try and decided on this one, and it was a good choice. The best thing this drama had going for it is that its main characters are complex people, instead of just caricatures. The acting was superb and most plot twists came from the fact that the drama did not behave as most dramas would. Meaning that it went for a realistic tone in the way the characters behaved and expressed emotion and made decisions, while being in a rather fantastical setting. It wasn't flawless, but I really enjoyed it and recommend it.
Really enjoyed this drama. It was slow going, but deeply touching. I definitely shed some tears. All characters…
I didn't understand if he went to jail or what exactly were the consequences of what he did. If there were consequences, were they self imposed or by the law? That kind of thing. Did you get the ending?
This sounds like a version of "Marry Him if You Dare", minus the crazy perm and pushy/annoying ajumma. I'll give it a try. I'm looking for romantic Japanese drama.
Did you ever watch Candy,Candy?Where you as flabbergasted and dissappointed about the ending between Terry and Candy, as I was? Well, that's a bit about how I felt about the ending for this drama.
I liked it well enough. I just don't think I agree with the ending. I would give it a 7.5/10
Thanks for the suggestion. I've been watching and it is as good as described here. Only regret is that I marathoned all 8 available episodes and now I'm desperately waiting for the new episode to be subbed. The tone of the show is slow, but very engaging.

Hello! I hope you are doing well. I am writing because I just finished reading your excellent review on,"More than Blue". I really liked it, and agree with everything you wrote. I really liked this movie, but I have a question about the ending. Did she die?. Were those her ashes and the birds the representation of the main OTP finally meeting each other again?. Im not sure I understood. Could you give me your opinion, please?. Thank you in advance for your attention to this note. Have a great day. JD
1)Happyforkoreandrama: I'm getting that feeling as well. It seems that she all but confessed that she was the one who killed that girl. She was probably doing the community service because someone else went to jail for what she did. Imagine that she was the catalyst for everything that happened to all the other characters. She is the puppet master and none one knows it. I love this drama.
2) I was disturbed by that last kiss. I can see how she would not want to fall for him and all that, but that does not justify using force and not accepting it when a woman says no, acting like he knows better.
3) Re: San and DoHoons' mom. I agree with how evil she is. I don't think he knows to what extent she went to remove him out of his life. I think he thinks he's dead, but in reality she keeps him close by so his soon can live his life without that burden.
I recommend watching the directors cut than the original. This was a beautiful movie and it made me fall in love…
Hi! I watched this on Netflix, so I don't know which version I saw. Could you tell me how the Director's cut is different from the theatrical release, please? Thank you.

These eps were very revelatory:)
