With streaming and all in this day and age i would not put so much weight on the ratings as a deciding factor…
That's true! Which is why I find the comments here on MDL helpful... They usually give me a better sense of whether people are enjoying the show, what they liked/not liked about it etc.
I had low expectations when I started this, because I've read that the show's ratings in Korea aren't great. BUT I'm loving this so much I had to stop myself from binge watching because it's still airing and I don't want to have to wait for new episodes haha...
So for those who are still wondering whether or not to start this drama, I'd say go for it! :)
For those who're still thinking about whether they should start or skip this show, hopefully these comments help you decide either way. :) (Btw, I'm about at the halfway mark watching this (ep 21/40)...)
To me this is a bit of a 冷门 (mandarin for "underrated") series. I was skeptical when I started it - it wasn't on my radar when it started, I wasn't familiar with the leads, neither did I see many positive reviews/recommendations.
But I got hooked after the first few episodes. It starts a little slow, but for what I consider one of Cdrama's better attempts at a slice-of-life drama, the slow start is to be expected. What I love about it - many of the characters have lines that are exactly how real people would respond if they were in similar situations in real life. I frequently found myself nodding along in agreement when they replied! It reminded me of the slice-of-life dramas that Taiwan is really good at producing.
The romance in this is kinda slow-burn by dramaland standards, but totally realistic (if you ask me) from a real-world perspective. It still follows the formulaic haters-turned-friends-turned-lovers plot, but it's not a whirlwind love-at-first-sight kinda deal. The leads are also older than the archetypes of such shows.
TLDR - watch this if you're into slice-of-life type of dramas, skip this if you're looking for a light, fluffy romance flick.
This is a rarity among Thai dramas - it's one of the least toxic I've watched. The plot is a little typical as far as rom-coms go. And I can understand why some might find the humor not sophisticated enough, bordering on slap-stick. But I'd still recommend it as a feel-good watch. If you love Baifern in her usual best-friend-turned-gf roles, you'd likely like her in this one too.
I liked the show right up to ep35. FL was a tad annoying for most of the show for me, mainly because her little tricks always end up causing more trouble for the ML. Her character got better towards the end BUT that ep 35 though... How FL decided to handle that last twist of the plot was a classic case of noble idiocy for me. I wish I'd known and I would have stopped watching after ML/FL wrapped up most of the loose ends of the case in ep34.

While I was kind of iffy with the whole asking her on date. I find it very on character. Thyme has said it himself,…
Your comments replayed the zoo scene for me, thanks for posting! I loved Thyme's expressions in this scene. From the way he looked at Gorya when he said he'd wait for her to love him, to his I'm-gonna-kill-you look when Tesla was talking shit about Gorya. And ofc him taking out his anger on the stuffed toys... I laughed so hard at that haha...
Gorya lying about losing her phone when she met Ren... I wished she didn't lie cos now Thyme can't help but think there's something there esp since he knows she likes Ren... But I guess i can sorta understand why she did lie - she was probably worried about how Thyme would react if she told him...
Haha I started this when it was already 3 episodes in and i was only planning to watch ONE episode. I ended up…
Hahaha... ok! (Gonna look out for your comment, so I can comment right back! :D ) Also, I think I got my episodes mixed up - just finished watching the latest which was Ep 5. So I was planning (but probably gonna fail at) holding out on Ep 6 so I can watch it together with Ep 7.
Well that ended fast. It felt like 15 minutes. My plan was to wait until next week so I'd have 2 episodes. I held…
Haha I started this when it was already 3 episodes in and i was only planning to watch ONE episode. I ended up binge watching all three. After i watched Ep 4 i was planning to wait to watch Ep 5 & 6 together but... I doubt I'll be able to hold out! :D
If anyone else is thinking of watching this or watching this and not liking how Push's character is like in this role, consider checking him out instead in Waen Dok Mai. His chemistry with the FL in that may not be as great as it was with Esther, but he's a real sweetheart there compared to his role in U Prince: Handsome Cowboy.
I require a Happy Ending, too, so here are some I like... 1. Lying Heart (REAL kisses)2. U Prince: Handsome Cowboy…
Thank you for this list! I really enjoyed Hua Jai Sila. Yes it's revenge-slap-kiss lakhorn but the chemistry was great. I started U-Prince: Handsome Cowboy because of your list - love it so far, but I'm bracing myself for the 2nd half having seen the comments for this show. A lot of people hating on ML 'cos of the cheating...
To me, It is difficult to watch. I'm on Ep 23 and there's not that much viewer reward in watching it. There are…
Sorry about the late reply! Yes! Watched My Little Happiness! I'm not a big fan of the dramas with a big height difference between the leads but still it's a sweet show! :)

I really wanted to start this because I loved Luo Yun Xi after watching Love is Sweet... but the comments about ep 21-29 are making me think twice about starting... I also started Broker, but I can't seem to find motivation to continue; based on what you said, maybe it's good that I haven't invested too much time in Broker yet haha
So for those who are still wondering whether or not to start this drama, I'd say go for it! :)
