Three years later while uk is still contemplating on whether to do nothing or to use his power to do the right thing, it is once again his relationship with yul that becomes the highpoint. I am so fond of how this drama emphasizes on all sort of relationships. Love is found in all kinds of relationship. I had thought danggu will be hostile to his friends given that he was at receiving end of something that his friends hid from him. But danggu has been such an understanding friend, who has never blamed them. In fact he understood the hurt that they have gone through. Even choyeon whom i thought will be full of vengeance, was so disturbed with the fact that buyeon whom she senses could be naksu would be locked up forever. And she was so secure about her relationship with danggu. And i don't even have to start with kim do joo♥. Also park jin. It is these relationships that is so beautiful in this drama. ( and then there is the Royal family 😐 This makes me feel bad for cp to an extend.) That is why i still have hopes with how uk's cp's relationship is gonna unfold. There is something in store for us.
I don't know how this is gonna end. But i want to thank all the forces that converged into casting jaewook as jang uk. And jaewook for deciding to say yes. ♥
I have never in my wildest nightmares had the thought of blaming jang uk's birth for naksu's death. The sequence of words park jin used when he said what he said to Uk literally broke my heart.

Somin played her part in part 1 and go yoon jung is doing the same in part 2. Plot wise it makes complete sense. If I miss somin i can always rewatch part 1. But somin in part 2 will not make any sense. 🙂

This is exactly what that rice cake scene is all about. Once the rules are laid, seo yul doesn't have a second thought before choosing. Danngu wavers, but takes the safe route. And Jang Uk makes the best of what is left. Park jin was sort of helping them unlearn what he had taught them over the years. Learn, question, unlearn, relearn. Alas! Seo yul couldn't unlearn. But on another note he chose to save so i at ultimate moment. That is some growth.

The title intro ends with the place of the throne and the energy of the sky above it (i perceived that image this way). King's throne is the ultimate destiny of Uk. Whether he accepts it or not will be what we will see.
Seo hye won (soi actor) appreciation comment. She has been there pretty active this year in k dramas. I loved her when she gave gave 3 names, jin ku,park jin, king, to mama jin. That was some top notch acting.
