The mermaid is def gonna sacrifice herself so Rang lives for eternity 😩
To be honest, even their OST sounds like something from a tragic love story.

No No No I love Lee Rang he is my favorite character in all this series, and adding a love line is so good we…
Maybe they can use the magic golden ruler to save Yeo Hee should one of the Japanese demons kill her later on.

To be honest, I'm kind of hoping that Lee Rang gets his happy ending with Yeo Hee in the end. I feel like Lee Rang's character deserves to have that happiness after being alone and miserable for several centuries.

I think we'll have to wait until season 2 ends to see how it's recieved overall. Season 3 was confirmed with season…
I just hope that Season 2 doesn't end on a cliffhanger, especially if Season 3 isn't guaranteed at this point.

According to Tulipa the changes Lee Yeon will make won't effect the future. But the mermaid. I mean Lee Yeon asked…
To be fair, Taluipa doesn't exactly have the best record of being completely honest with her answers. Until it's revealed otherwise, there's always a chance that she wasn't telling Lee Yeon the full truth regarding how his actions could change the future.

Since the moment that romance started, I was already planning the names of their grandchildren and trying to figure…
Should Lee Rang's new girlfriend tragically die later on, I wonder if they'll use the magic golden ruler to help revive her.

So many people asking if they need to see S1 first without bothering to scroll down a little. I swear it’s been…
"Do I have to watch Part 1?" is pretty much the new "Are we there yet?" trope of this discussion thread.lol

Lee Yeon seems to be the oldest and strongest among the former mountain gods. Even Kato was shocked to sense such…
To be honest, I feel like Lee Yeon's powers are portrayed inconsistently at times. Despite showing powers such as levitation and super speed, he doesn't really use them during times when they would have been very helpful (e.g., chasing Lee Rang's bandits back in Season 2 Episode 1).

For me it is not confusing but I did not watch the first season. From what I understood, Lee Yeon traveled in…
I don’t think that's the case. The scene of Lee Yeon seeing a reincarnated Rang in Season 1 takes place after he makes a deal with Taluipa, but before he travels back into the past for Season 2.

Do i need to watch s1 to watch this?
I recommend watching Season 1 as well. It allows you to better understand the motivations behind each returning character, which will make watching Season 2 that much better.

Has the anti-japan elements calmed down a bit? I just want to watch it as entertainment without political statements.
Again, I don't think the show is being anti-Japan so much as them just utilizing the historical backdrop for this season. Koreans don't exactly have fond memories of Japan during this time.

But there is a Season 3 this year with 10 more episodes. I'm starting to see a few kdramas do more episodes overall…
Agreed. Plus, I wouldn't want Season 2 to end on a cliffhanger if Season 3 isn't guaranteed.

Personally, I wouldn't be against having a small tease for Season 3 as long as we get a proper conclusion to the main storyline.

Unless the writers have forgotten their own rules for time travel, I feel like Taluipa isn't being completely honest with 2020 Lee Yeon. She told Lee Yeon back in Episode 2 that he couldn't alter present day events. However, we've already seen him change several things from the 'original timeline'.

Lee Yeon killed several Japanese soldiers (Episode 1), saved a little girl from the boy band Turtle Demon (Episode 1), and freed another girl's spirit from the shaman box (Episode 3).

Won't happen, he's married plus bound to his wife, and if you noticed in ep 1. He signed a contract when his wife's…
The irony about this is that Lee Yeon pretty much gave everyone a easy way to kill him instantly by tying his fate with Ji-Ah's life.

Do we need to watch the 2020 version first to properly understand this?
Think of it this way. It's like watching the first Avengers film without having seen the previous MCU films.

can anyone tell me the past & present lee yeon and shin joo both of them are going to coexist in 1938 🫠 why…
While we're only two episodes in, the explanation for why past Lee Yeon and Shin Joo aren't involved is due to the former being both depressed and high on opium in another city.
