My only wish is that they will not make Lee Dong Wook character fall inlove with the new female lead. Nam Ji ah…
I don't think you have to worry about that. I remember reading that LDW was very adamant about Lee Yeon being a faithful married man in Season 2. Also, I think Nam Ji Ah is supposed to have a cameo later this season.
Why does ryu hong joo like lee yeon so much. Why is she jealous of the other girl? I have seen season 1. I can’t…
The character of Ryu Hong Joo doesn't appear in Season 1. She does know about Ah Reum (Ji Ah Past Life). I'm guessing she's just jealous that Lee Yeon never showed interest in anyone else after Ah Reum died.
I have a theory. So Taliupa, the lady who guards the gate to the underworld, told Yeon that no matter what he…
It really depends on which type of rules the writers are using for their time travel. Are they going to approach things like "Avengers: Endgame", where Lee Yeon just creates an alternate timeline that has no effect on his own? Or will they go with the "Back to the Future" route and have major consequences erupt from Lee Yeon's actions?
I am japanese, i just wonder if there are many anti Japan things so far or they try to keep it clean as a series…
I wouldn't call the show anti-Japan so much as them utilizing the historical backdrop for story purposes, but with a touch of fantasy (e.g., demons, mythical creatures).
That was hilarious and I didn`t even watch S1 to know their background. He doesn`t match with his wife`s personality.…
The Husband revealed in S1 that his wife basically threatened him with Hell if he didn't sleep/mate with her back when they first met. They also had a son together, which in itself is a whole other plot point (Big One).
I guess that depends on what you interpret as being a continuation of the story. We find out how/why Lee Yeon still had powers at the end of Season 1 and follow his journey back into the past (1938). However, the beginning of Season 2 does give a very quick recap (via Flashbacks) of what took place in Season 1.
Although Season 2 had its flaws, I still enjoyed tuning in every week to watch it. I really hope that we don't have to wait another two years for the next installment.
Speaking of which, here's a list of things that I hope we'll see in Season 3.
- More connectivity between each case. One of my issues with Season 2 was how repetitive the cases felt, especially with how it only took two episodes to solve most of them.
- Create some division between the members when it comes to how certain cases should be handled. With the introduction of prior Taxi Drivers (e.g. Kim So Yeon), it would be nice to see one group operate within a morally grey area when compared to Kim Do-Ki's group.
- Introduce a villain that pushes Kim Do-Ki past his limits, both mentally and physically. Rather than having win every fight, it would be more compelling to see Kim Do-Ki get beaten in a fight.
- I don’t know about anyone else, but I would not be against having Do-Ki and Go-Eun become a couple next season.
- Have some actual consequences. For dramatic purposes, I feel like we should have at least one memeber die in the line of crossfire.
TO THOSE WHO ARE ASKING ABOUT THE CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS (BETWEEN SEASON 1 AND SEASON 2), here is how it went, as…
Unfortunately, I still don't know where the last scene from Season 1's finale with Esom fits within this timeline. Unless proven otherwise, it looks like the writer did a minor recton since we all saw every member working at both their own jobs and at Rainbow Taxi during last season's finale.
Having recently watched both parts again, I can’t help but have mixed feelings for Part 2. The difference between both parts is so large that it's hard to believe the Hong Sisters wrote it. Part 1 had a better production value, effects, fight sequences, story, and supporting characters. Part 2 is mostly watchable due to the performances and chemistry between Lee Jae Wook and Go Youn Jung.
I still maintain my belief that Jang Uk should have been given a proper adversary after receiving the ice stone. Having Jang Uk just swinging his blade to shoot out energy waves all the time got boring pretty quickly. Plus, the tension and suspense was no longer present because it never felt like Jang Uk's life was at risk.
Also, it's a real shame that they couldn't get JSM for guest appearance as the original JBY. It would have made it easier to connect the two portrayals and even provide proper closure to Lady Jin's arc had she interacted with her real daughter by the end of the series.
Having watched Parts 1 and 2 again, the difference in production value is really noticeable. I can't tell whether Part 2 was just given a smaller budget or if they were just using what was left for the whole show.
In any case, it's definitely easier to enjoy the show when I look at both parts as a whole.
As a ChoDang fan, my opinion is that it is too bad that Cho-yeon and Dang-gu never had their own stories, either…
Agreed. I feel like a good story for Dan Gu would have been him realizing that he didn't want to be the leader of Songrim and preferred focusing on merchant business instead. As for Cho Yeon, we should have seen her develop her powers more where even Lady Jin would acknowledge that she would be a worthy successor as well.
Why do you think that's too bad? What good will it do they just need to see the person that's right in front of…
I think it would have provided closure for most of those characters. Other than Seo Yul and Park Jin, no one else knows why Mudeok went on a killing spree three years ago. Plus, it would have made for good drama to see Jin Cho Yeon eventually forgive Mudeok/Naksu for the death of her father.
Kinda old question regarding Cho Jung:Did Cho Jung (Naksu's father) die to protect Jang Uk's origins? Was Cho Jung…
From what I understand, Naksu's father was targeted because he had learned about the King's Star. They weren't really clear though on who were specifically involved in the plot against him.
Since Naksu's father had shifted his souls at one point, he was made vulnerable to Jin Mu's soul bells which made him run wild and kill innocent people. The Mages of Daeho weren't aware of this when they killed him. Naksu didn't hate Park Jin as much after learning that her father had gone wild.
Season 2- Hong Joo wants to have Lee Yeon's body.
Sounds like a natural development when it comes to threats.lol
I don't know about anyone else, but why does it look like Lee Yeon is more afraid of Hong Joo than Imoogi in his prime?
