Just saw it. Honestly, i did not like the ML having to apologize to the FL. He didn't do anything wrong to her. Such a pushover when it comes to the FL.

Good lord. I just finished watching Episode 10. While there were some great moments involving other characters, along with JSM showing why she's regarded as a top actress, they really messed up with how they ended the Ex's storyline on this show.

He really came off as just another victim of circumstances. At first, I was hoping that he would leave right away. However, my thoughts of his character really changed after we learned more about him.

I still maintain my belief that the ML and FL should NOT get together on this show. They're much better off as friends.

Not to mention, this is without a doubt the most ONE-SIDED romance that I've ever seen on K-Drama. If the FL does end up with the ML later on, it'll be without any effort from her end.

Are you referring to the morning incident where she fell under him? TBH, she looked more startled than blushing.

True. But we still need to see the FL overcome her own trials and then fall in love with the ML, whom she has friend-zoned all of this time. Given how many things the show juggles with already, I don’t know how they'll make it work.

I saw those scenes as well. TBH, I felt more bad for her ex. For anyone that's watched the Notebook, the FL ex reminds me of the guy that portrayed Rachel McAdams's fiance. Great dude all around but screwed out of a happy life because he wasn’t the ML.

Haven't had a chance to watch ep 10 yet. Will do so later today. Should I expect to see the same angst, same status quo between the leads, ML still pining after her shenanigans?

Though I did hear more about the FL's ex. I actually feel bad for the character. Seems like he really got screwed by circumstances. On any other drama, he would be the ML and SH would be the third wheel.

To be honest, I've only seen clips of it. Haven't had a chance to watch the show in full yet.

So, I get what the FL's journey on this show. However, I'm having a little trouble trying to figure out the ML's role. Is his mother's infidelity really the only thing he has going on?

Well, the ML is fully in love with the FL already so that's one less thing to worry about. All that's left is for the FL to overcome her trials and fall in love with the ML... within the next six episodes. No pressure.lol

It's kind of hard to believe that the FL would break up with her ex, who is revealed to be a very good person, because of her selfless nature... yet will seemingly have no problem dating the ML later on. It's one thing if she realized that she's not really in love with him, but lack of love doesn’t seem to have been the issue.

Expected romance from the main leads. Yet the only pair that's seen any meaningful development are the second leads.

Also, they didn’t need to make her ex into such a big part of her story when she already has the stress from work and stomach cancer plot threads.

- Slow burn romance.
- Very one-sided romance for ML.
- Expected Rom-Com, got Heavy Melodrama instead.
- Too much time devoted to the FL's ex and other uninteresting characters.

For some, it's a lot easier to root for a couple to get together if either or both of their exes were bad people. However, it can get complicated if either lead was with someone that was actually good.

Just out of curiosity; which pair do you guys prefer? Seung-Hyo and Seok-Ryu (Angst, A lot of Drama) or Mo-Eum and Dan-Ho (The Feel Good Couple)?

I hadn't considered the situation like that before. Thanks for your insight. Honestly, once the FL overcomes her own depression, I would prefer to have her put in some effort in making a romantic relationship with the ML work. Show that she wants it just as much as he does. So far, it just feels like the whole build up has been very uneven with the ML having a very one-side crush/love for the FL.

And yet the ML got so much flack last week when he was unable to process his own feelings for the FL. I kind of hope the ML doesn’t try pursuing the FL anymore until she overcomes her depression.

More of a personal preference. I'm just not a fan of stories where the main leads end up together primarily due to unavoidable circumstances as opposed to genuine feelings. I have never enjoyed the tropes of someone romantically loving more than one person at the same time or settling for someone else. Oc course, I get that there are people who do it but I prefer not to get invested in those types of stories.

Got it. Yeah, that makes more sense. Just to set the record straight, I was not asking that the FL hate or pretend that her ex doesn't exist. Should this story conclude with the two leads finally getting together, I just hope it's done so where there's no question how they feel about each other without any regrets.
