Given how we only about 6-7 episodes left on the show, there isn't a whole lot of time left. We've already spent like 3 episodes focused mainly on the FL and her ex. And I doubt the status quo will be changing any time soon.

Honestly, it's hard to say because the FL keeps most of her important thoughts to herself. One of the issues some folks have right now is that we really don't know what her real thoughts are on certain things.

In real life, I can understand that there's never a good timing for so many bad things to happen at once.

To be honest, I don't think it would be right for the FL to end up with the ML later on if she's still partially in love with her ex or has feelings for him on a romantic level. It's really not fair to anyone that's involved and I can't understand why anyone would accept that. I mean, it's not like the ML still has feelings for his ex. Plus, that would just reinforce the idea that the ML really is a rebound for the FL.

Pretty certain that her stomach cancer was treated and is no longer an active threat to her life. It's just a matter of making sure she doesn't experience any future complications and learning to live with the changes.

I'm pretty certain that the FL will survive the show.

When did the ML reject the FL? Are you referring to his small tantrum a few episodes ago?

With all of this baggage and drama, are we really supposed to believe that the two will be realistically in love with each other in the next couple of episodes? I've seen frenemies with less baggage than the ML and FL.

To be honest, I actually felt bad for both the ML and the FL's ex. The ML is currently stuck in the friend zone and the FL's ex was dumped even though he legitimately devoted so much of his time and energy in trying to be there for the FL.

This is without a doubt the most ONE-SIDED romance drama that I've seen in a while.

Given how good the FL is at keeping her feelings a secret, it's honestly very hard for me to determine what she's trying to accomplish at times. All we're left with is just trying to decipher/interpret her actions because she hasn't said anything else yet.

For the record, I completely understand that people can have several exes before eventually meeting their final life partner/spouse. That's not the issue that I see here.

It's the manner of how things ended between the FL and her ex. Unless I'm interpreting things differently, the FL is only breaking up with her fiance because she just doesn't have the energy to deal with romance in her life right now and the strain it would put on her relationship (with her ex). If the FL had never gotten sick, she would very likely still be with her ex imho. I never got the impression that there was any issues when it came to their love for each other.

See that's the thing. I'm assuming that the FL will realize in the next couple of episodes that she's ready to date again, which will undoubtedly make the ML happy. He would have no problem to move forward with her in a romantic relationship once she's ready to see him as a man.

The issue here is that the FL gets to have her happy romantic ending with no real effort. And before anyone accuses me of being sexist, I would have the same issue if the roles were reversed. I just don't appreciate how the ML is a doormat waiting to be walked on at the FL's pace.

Personally, I would okay at this point if they don't end up with each other and just remained good friends.

I don’t think neither of them are ready to be in a relationship with each other. Too much baggage.

He pretty much just takes all that she throws at him as of late and comes off looking like the stereotypical 2ML, who watched the FL from afar. I can't think of many folks that would still actively pursue someone when they've given you the impression that you're nothing more than a friend to them.

Despite all the heartache that the FL has given the ML lately, he would still probably come running to her if she offered to start dating him.

Same. I expect the upcoming episode to be filled with a lot of angst... as usual. The ML will complain why he was kept in the dark and about his unequivocally feelings, the FL will keep things bottled up as usual, and her parents will likely cry on their own and not address the issue directly until much later on.

Thank the Lord for the 2nd Leads though. Their romance definitely provides a nice balance to the emotional drama going on with the main leads.

Believe it or not, I like three of the four leads. If it were anyone else, I would've likelu dropped this show by now.

Plus, it's just frustrating how we went from earnest/feel-good rom-com to this complicated scenario. Especially the ML, who now feels like a complete pushover now to the FL.

Just curious, how will some of you feel if we still get no confession from the FL by the end of the upcoming episode? Also, is anyone else worried that the ML will come off looking like a rebound?

If the writer wants fans to get invested in their work and character, then they should definitely be observant to what people are asking for. Putting it bluntly, why should fans get invested in a pairing if it feels so one-sided? Like you already mentioned, a lot of the FL's actions and POV have been very subtle. Personally, I went into this drama thinking that it would be mainly a rom-con and not some melodramatic story that requires several viewings to understand.

Subtle or not, I think fans are owed a verbal explanation from the FL herself on how she currently feels about the ML. If anything, I just hope they avoid making the ML come off as a rebound.

No worries. I understand that there are some users here that post nothing but nonsense or sexist comments. If my memory serves me correctly, the FL has only mentioned once that she liked the ML back when they were kids but that those feelings quickly fell into the background. However, we haven’t really seen much other that, especially when compared to the ML. A lot of the FL's actions towards the ML were mainly that between good friends. Nothing more than that. Frankly, their dynamics resembles the FL's parents where her mother dominates the relationship and shows little care towards her husband.

Personally, I always felt that love is something that should be earned between both parties in order for them to fully appreciate each other. It just feels like the ML has been doing all the legwork.

Just to clarify, I actually like JHI and JSM. Based on the early previews alone, I was somewhat interested to see how well they'd do together. However, all of this unnecessary drama and angst has really left a sour taste. And I know that it's not a minority group that feels this way.
