Honestly, one of the best dramas I’ve watched! I’ve noticed that in a lot of crime/detective/prosecutor dramas, the police or the prosecution acts really dumb sometimes - like letting the criminal slip away right before their eyes or giving out crucial information to the bad guys or losing evidence (which is the most ridiculous out of them all). And it’s usually the main character doing all the work in the team and everybody else just watches and makes mistakes which over complicate things. Stranger is different though. It doesn’t have these frustrating moments.
I also loved the fact that the characters were not one-sided - the “bad guys“ were not portrayed as some horribly evil conscience-less humans who kill without any remorse, and the victims were not portrayed as some kind of saints. Like, I could empathise with most of the “bad guys“ and while their actions are not justified, I kind of get why they did what they did.
yes he admitted!! plus, i don't believe in this innocent till proven guilty crap, if you're guilty then you're…
It’s not crap. If there was no presumption of innocence, anyone could accuse you of any crime and you’d be put behind bars and defamed without being given a fair chance to defend yourself. Not to mention the scary media trials when all the facts haven’t even been made known yet.
Gosh, I think I hate soo ah even more than I hate the evil chairman and his asshole son. I mean, I get that she has had a tough life and all, but that’s absolutely not an excuse for her actions I’m all for imperfect characters with flaws but her character is just a big nope.
After all the help she received from sae roi and his dad, she’s still trying to ruin his life . She really has no conscience or feelings of guilt ughhh. Like, she’s played a huge part in sae roi ending up in prison and then as soon as he is released, she wants to get back together with him (and that too after he gets rich or whatever does she even like him??), and then she reports him to the police? On top of that, she knowingly works for the company that is responsible for all the shit that has happened? Wtf???
Currently watching it on Korean demand and everyone is right this is a hidden gem my kind of mystery and detective…
Absolutely agree with you! It's such an underrated drama fr. The story-line was great, acting was so well done and the characters were so good too. I loved the fact that there weren't any of those cliched misunderstandings where you'd want to pull your hair and the characters' hair out lol. I need a season 2!
Just started watching the drama and don't think it's my cup of tea. While I love the actors (esp KSH), the characters are very unlikable and selfish. I mean, obviously I don't expect them to be perfect but there's just something off about them all idk
i love the male lead's character so much! i love how he is so calm and is able to accept his mistakes and apologize without letting his ego come in the way. it's so refreshing and so different from that of most other male leads in k-dramas.
