As a Korean, I agree there are problems with Korean society. But I see alot of ignorant comments. I reject the slander against Korea. I find it disgusting that people are blaming the whole country and every Korean for this suicide. This is slanderous and racist. Look at the whole picture. All countries have big problems right now. All you westerners looking down and condemning all of Korea for this are wrong. You guys have no idea how bad things are in the West. Up until 2010, the West was the best place to live by far. However, right now, it is really bad. Drugs and crime are out of control. Do you people have the same outrage when someone dies of drug overdose, or murder by drug addicts? Do you? Or how about the massive theft, assaults, and rape that barely even goes reported here because it happens so much these days? No, you don't. You only save your outrage when it happens in Korea it seems. It seems in the West, people are too nice. Everything is racist an no one stands for what's right because of cancel culture. So nice that literally anything goes. We have legalized pot, hard drugs are de facto legalized. Maybe in Korea, people are too harsh. You guys have no idea how dangerous it is to even walk in big North American cities at night. Right now, I firmly believe Korea is a better place to live than the US as a whole. Again, people have no idea how bad things are in the West now. Do you know that in California, they don't even send police for theft under $950? Look it up on youtube. That's the most petty crime. Look at the more violent crimes in US. All you Asians, do not EVER move to America. Their cops are quitting en masse. If you do, move to a red state where they care about law and order. Even their schools are so violent that teachers are quitting en masse. Canada is much safer, but it's much worse than 10 years ago because of the West's lax drug laws. Move to Australia or NZ. Probably the best country to immigrate to. Much better than here in Canada, and 100X better than America. Suicide is so tragic and my heart goes out to those affected by it. But people also need to realize that suicide is also an act of cowardice and negligence. It takes the easy way out while leaving loved ones to fend for themselves. People always see the person as a blameless victim. They are not.
SK among the only country where smoking weed is worse than raping women and kids. If you rape, you'll get a slap…
There is no way smoking weed is worse than rape in Korea. You seriously believe that? That's slanderous to Korea. Drugs ARE bad. We here in North America are drowning in drugs and crime due to drugs.
This comedy is the worse drama that I've seen coming from Korea.Main actress will need lots of time to clean her…
Are you talking about True Beauty? I think it's the best kdrama I've ever seen and the best love story I've ever seen. And that's coming from a 49 yo male.
There were Start-Up level arguments about all the SML syndrome from this drama, so you're not alone! It was aggressively…
(I changed my screen name from Jason in Canada to this) Interesting thoughts and I totally agree. I think around 2000, I drastically reduced my consumption of US TV, movies and music. I used to love US shows. I thin up until Friends, US shows were wholesome. I simply refuse to watch immoral content or crappy writing. It's like the US almost wants to drive viewers away with immoral plots and woke ideology (Disney, Amazon Rings of Power) Actually, my favorite entertainment of all time is Lord of the Rings. I believe nothing can top that imo. I believe they're the greatest movies of all time for many reasons. I still watch my blu rays of older movies and shows, but since 2010 especially, there is very little US content that I consume. You are absolutely correct. It seems kdramas are becoming more dark and immoral. This is sad. I personally would never watch Squid Game or Mask Girl etc. Just to dark and violent. I see this is kpop too. Kpop is becoming quite racy and I just have no interest in that. I'm sad that it's influencing kids negatively just like US pop music. Music, movies and TV are powerful mediums. They will make society better or worse. I believe the latter is happening. Could you tell me about the diff between kdramas and jdramas? Never seen a jdrama or cdrama. I'm guessing it's partly because of the morality. I believe what sets kdramas apart are the innocent and sweet storylines and especially the music. It seems kdramas have beautiful OSTs and background music. That's all I want in a show: sweet/beautiful stories, great music and great actors. If you have that, I will watch your show. I believe right now, kdramas are the only thing doing that.

What an amazing reply! Thank you for taking the time! I prefer modern ones more, but one day I will watch a historical one to broaden my horizons. I'm gonna do more research on those titles, but I'm thinking of watching While you were sleeping, Crash landing on you or I'm not a Robot as my next kdrama. I'm actually rewatching True Beauty right now lol. It's funny how kd fans aren't really into it. It's more liked by non Koreans it seems (I'm Korean btw and only started watching KDs this year)
I agree. I'm not gonna hate on the show or its watchers. But I just want people to be careful. But I want people to know that demons are REAL. Demons are our enemy and they want to destroy us and take us to eternal hell. Demons, angels, God, heaven, hell are real.
Well said. You know what? I don't mind reasonable critiques of shows, but when people are just toxic I just block them. I never waste my time with toxic people.
It's going to be on Netflix in many countries since December 11.
True Beauty has had a resurgence in popularity since it came back on Netflix in Dec 2023. It hit #1 in many Latin American countries. Thank you Latin America!
I put this off for so long, but I found myself bored and finally decided to give it a try.Surprisingly, I loved…
I really enjoyed it too. My fav kdrama and I haven't found anything as good. I just want to see a beautiful romance with a beautiful couple. It's a 9.5/10 for me. I only take 0.5 off because of that breakup near the end. But the story is great right after that. I skip the breakup and then the reunite on rewatches. The music was great. JK is just so likable. It's a credit to MGY's acting. She's been acting since age 10.
You really do need to stop with the hate. You said you "hate" four times. Maybe use a more neutral word like "I don't like." Hate is simply not healthy.
There's literally something majorly wrong with you
I never argue with haters. I never waste one second of my time with them. I just block them lol. There's a difference between having valid reasons for disliking a show and just trying to ruin things for others.
THAT is sick and RACIST.

My Demon is the biggest rated Asian drama in the world right now.
Can you not support your opinion in a civil manner?
