If there are people here who feel that it is too late or that they are losing their days, I hope that you, like…
This is not realistic. People need to accept that this life may not turn out the way you want. With hard work people can achieve great things, but not everything is possible.
I just really think Korean needs to make more business dramas like Startup. Working hard and achieving success. In the Philippines, they're making their own version of Startup and I'm eager to check it out. But I hope they use the original music but I hope they make some improvements. This should be a major trope in kdramas. Starting and succeeding at a business, then add some romance. Can anyone suggest something similar to Startup?
Jesus Christ! The mother. Wow. Just wow! The words I just used to refer to her cannot be published on here. Okay...somehow…
Actually, on your OP, I understand your anger. This is actually my fav kdrama. But that scene was disgusting and disturbing. I'm pretty sure it's not representative of real life bc that person would certainly go to jail. Kdramas sometimes go overboard with the violence. A similar example is in Castaway Diva, a really good drama has in the first ep a REALLY disgusting scene. Much worse than this Startup one. A kid is viciously beaten by his dad. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? Okay, you want to convey abuse. Great. That is real life and it should be in kdramas. But kdramas go overboard for dramatic effect.
for people saying true beauty is lame, please stfu, were you expecting gangs and guns and fire shots true beauty…
LOL. I just block them. I never waste my time with online haters. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen. The show is a masterpiece. The romance is just the best I've seen. The downtrodden girl gets her guy. The music is great. Some people tear down kdramas.because they want to promote shows from their country. It has nothing to do with your show. There is an ocean of toxic people on the internet. All that matters is what you think of a certain show.
Could we please talk about Dalmi's mom? (when she is older) For me, she is the most beautiful woman I've seen in a kdrama so far. My eyes were glued to her in every scene.
Don't feel bad. Just accept the fact that this is the internet and there are rude people everywhere. The internet has made the world toxic. That person's comment was totally uncalled for an unprovoked. I don't waste one second of my time arguing with trolls. I'm just thankful that MDL has an ignore button. I use it whenever I need to : )
I really enjoyed it. I give it an 8.5. It was heartwarming and beautiful. The music was great. Park Eun Bin is a great actress and a really good singer. I love that alot of the music was done with a guitar! My kind of music. Most of today's music is just horrible. Good melodies have disappeared.
the child actors were the highlight of the drama for me. the absolute best. the first ep is my absolute favourite.hope…
I agree! They actually should have had them in the show longer. Their childhood romance was so beautiful. The young Mokha was very cute. I look forward to seeing her in future roles.
I’d also like to hear the pov of Korean viewers who live in Korea. I don’t think any tv show from any country…
Funny that you mention US soap operas. When I was a teenager, I was addicted to them (Young and the Restless, Bold and the Beautiful). But after a while I realized they were dragging everything out to the nth degree. LOL. No thanks. Not getting sucked into that. I also used to love US reality shows. They would drag things out and make fake drama with backstabbing contestants. Nope. Done with that. Never again.
Okay, I have to discuss this. General comment. No spoilers. I'm really enjoying this drama so far. How do people feel about the anger displayed in kdramas vs english dramas? I'm Korean Canadian, so please don't take this as anti Korean. Yes, I know that's the Korean culture. But how do non Koreans and Koreans feel about it? Angry outbursts are not a good thing and I'm surprised kdramas show it so much. I believe TV shows are powerful, and they should try to be examples of what we should aspire to. I don't know why Korea almost glorifies outbursts of anger like it's cool or something. It's not cool and they need to change this imo.
Burners = haters?
Korea needs to make more of these realistic fairytales.
I've stopped watching western dramas.
