Great post. I did not know this about Korea. Divorce SHOULD be hard. Having divorce so easy will be the death of a nation. The family must be kept intact when at all possible. Here in North America, you could divorce at the drop of a hat for the dumbest reasons. In fact, they give incentives for people to divorce it seems like. It's crazy.

I believe it's because Korea wanted to diversify its streamer customer base. It didn't want to let Netflix have too much power. Disney is also a huge company. It's better to have 3 customers than 1 to get a fair price for your content. But yeah, on Disney, the shows get little exposure. I said in a diff post that once Disney owns 100% of Hulu, Disney will go full speed ahead on marketing. Up till now, I don't understand what Disney is doing.

Disney+ caters more to younger viewers while Hulu will cater more to adults. Disney just made a move to buy all of Hulu. It seems most kdramas are on Hulu. Disney will promote its Kdramas much more now that they own 100% of Hulu and receive all the benefits.

Some of the media is predatory, biased and with no desire for the truth.
