SL has more info because of his servant fox girl and he actively tried to find information of golden millet for years but JBZ never wanted to search for it and Mingyi only recently started looking for it, So the information gap is understandable.

I'm not talking about the lies between her and JBZ. I'm just saying that her personal matters, whatever she was doing were hers, and she didn't have to tell SL the truth. While she is grateful for his help, Mingyi never wanted him to get involved in her matters. From day one, she rejected his advances, but he ignored her words. What could she do when he wasn't showing any hostility and just genuinely wanted to help?

I don't know why you think she was purposely flexible with him, but I guess she might have considered using his help when needed because she's in a foreign realm with no support. However, she never actively tried to get his help. It was he who came to her whenever she was in any danger. Even then she always maintained a boundary, and of course, SL is trying to erase it.

Right after she woke up, she told him not to care about her and not to get involved in her matters anymore, but he didn't listen. She actually repeatedly told him not to get involved, but he ignored her. I think she has now simply stopped actively telling him not to get involved because she knows that no matter what she says, he won't listen. Instead, he acts all sad and miserable in front of her for rejecting his help and becomes touchy.

Before, he thought he had time, so he was never aggressive with his advances. But now that she is in a dire situation, he is obviously using it to get close to her. If you think about it SL could only find her as soon as she came out of JBZ's residence because he was stalking JBZ's house. Also Mingyi doesn't know SL's true identity; she only knows that he is from 'that' realm.

Mingyi is quite uncomfortable with him at this point, but her current concern is to find the golden millet and not deal with a guy who is obsessed with her.

I know he didn't really do anything majorly wrong, but the only thing I find excessive is him getting touchy with her when she clearly showed discomfort. She told him not to get involved in her matters, but he insists on doing so. The problem is she doesn't know how to give a clear 'no' without being rude or hurting his feelings. I feel she treats him as a brother, and seeing how much he cares for her, she doesn't want to hurt him.

As for her lies, that's a personal matter between her and JBZ. She never wanted him to get involved, so she doesn't have to tell him. Even without telling him, he has plenty of evidence that she is madly in love with JBZ. While I know that his knowing she's in love with someone else doesn't mean he has to stop his feelings for her, this transformation of his respect into an unhealthy obsession is kind of angering many watchers. His trying to do everything to save her is commendable, but his bluntly ignoring her feelings is arguably not right.

I think it's because he's doing those things while expecting her love in return. At first, he genuinely wanted her to be safe, but now he's also started acting in a way that's making Ming Yi feel uncomfortable.

Why did he hide the fact that he gave her Golden Millet Dream? I heard this happened in the novel as well. Is there a reason behind it, or does he just want to hide from her that he broke his promise with his master?

Yeah, I just watched, but there were no subtitles. So I didn’t understand most of what was actually happening.

Yes, but if you remember, there is a scene where she tells her pet that once she steals the golden millet and leaves, he will hate her and forget about her. She knows things will get ugly, but she hopes/thinks once she goes back to her disguised self, there will be no more Mingyi.

Most people can think clearly when judging others’ emotional decisions, but when we’re the ones caught in those moments, who knows what kind of foolish choices we’d make? She believes that once she returns to being Ming Xian, there will be no more JBZ or Mingyi.

I think it’s more that she doesn’t want to know what he would happen after she tells him the truth. Would he still give her the golden millet, or would his trust in her shatter or something even worse? She knows that JBZ never trusts anyone, but now he is truly trusting her, and she is scared. What would he think if he knew that she approached him for the golden millet dream like everyone else? To her, stealing seems like the simpler choice. She just can’t summon the courage to face what might happen.

She’s lived her whole life hiding her true feelings from her mother and perhaps even from her pet. She can face horrors like Nether beasts without flinching, but when it comes to emotions, she’s terrified. She never learned how to deal with them.

In episode 22, when she was about to reveal her true identity, she stopped. His honest, caring eyes made her feel a kind of fear she never knew existed. She knows he loves her deeply, but that knowledge alone isn’t enough to dispel her fear. In the end, she’s just being human.

I was trying to say that they looked similar, but I just compared their costumes, and yeah, I think it's really her spirit pet that was chained. Maybe things would go down similar to your theory.

I think it's Mingyi that was captured, or maybe the fox girl, because in the teaser there is a glimpse(0.45) of a girl chained.

I loved the early episodes of WDBTD, but later I just skipped parts other than the main couple's screen time. At some point I stopped caring about the plot and other characters; it felt quite dragging, but the main couple was fire.

Episode 13 was full of speculations and no concrete evidence, so she can still lie her way out. JBZ literally fought against Ming Xian and saw his face and build; Ming Yi's build is totally different. So how can JBZ be convinced that Ming Yi is Ming Xian without irrefutable evidence?

I think it is more complicated than merely adding run time. She trusts him, but she cannot risk her life by telling him the truth. She doesn't believe he will give her the golden millet; instead, she believes it will only make it harder for her to get it. You should also consider the type of life she led. It kind of helps understand why she was unable to bring herself to tell JBZ the truth.

It happened all of a sudden, and she didn't expect them to bring a mirror search artifact. Before that artifact, regardless of what she said, it wouldn't work, and she couldn't manipulate the artifact as easily as Ji Bozai without exposing herself, and I think she took a back seat because that was the best option there.

She lies because she has lived her whole life lying to everyone about her identity; it's not that easy to just reveal her identity, and there is no guarantee what would happen if her identity were revealed. She wants to at least cure herself and gain the power back to protect herself before telling the truth. She trusts him, but she doesn't know if he will give her the golden millet if he knows about her condition. She couldn't gamble with her life, so she chose the safest option she could think of.

For the past seven years everyone has seen Mingxian as a man. so Ji Bozai might be thinking that she must be related to Mingxian and not a man turning into a woman.

I think she's already started to develop feelings for him. Before episode 10, she normally tried to avoid kissing or crossing boundaries, but she didn't seem to be thinking about them as much now. Whether or not she fell for Ji Bozai, even her spiritual beast hesitated about answering to her master.
