I loooooooved the first two episodes, this drama has so much potential. I wish they had casted actual deaf people for some of the roles, but I know I can't expect much from k-dramas in terms of representation 😂 Anyway, Ryeoun kind of blew me away. I've always found his acting to be stiff, but he's fantastic here. That fight scene with the father was top-notch acting.
If 16 or 14 Eps is enough, (As I have not read the webtoon) Let's hope/pray this to become a 16/14 Episodes drama...…
Tbh I feel like 14/16 would still not be enough... Also, the webtoon has very particular style and sense of humor, and I dont know if they'll be able to recreate it in live action. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Let's hope it's good.
How did I not know about this? It's my favorite webtoon! That being side, 12 episodes will definitely not be enough to properly adapt the whole story, so I'm kinda worried...
I haven't seen many Wavve dramas, so I can't really compare, but most Netflix dramas have great production values. And Bastard won't really need much CGI or fx if the stick to the webtoon's story. Anyway, the main reason why I want it to be on Netflix is that it's arguably the platform with the widest global reach.
This is one of the best webtoons I've ever read and I feel like Park Jihoon was born for this role. Hype through the roof!!! I'm really curious about who will play the father and who will direct. Also, I'm guessing this will premiere on a streaming platform, cause there's no way a story this brutal is airing on Korean tv.
