Okay but the hugging scene and the conversation they have after it implies that Junho has spent time researching how best to be there and help Young Woo when she needs him.... He's not just passively waiting for Young Woo to pass on information (like the hand holding a few episodes earlier) but instead proactively trying to find out what he can do for her.

Anyway hats off to Attorney Woo's "slight romance" for being one of the best, healthiest and most well developed…
I mean I understand the hesitation if you see EAW as a legal/courtroom drama but the issue is that it's NOT a legal/courtroom drama. It's a drama about what it means to be human that uses court cases as a way to explore various social topics and issues and the romance is part of that as well.

There's a lot of foreshadowing about WYW's future that I really hope we get to see come true: the wedding dress, her dad saying "when you'll have children of your own you'll understand".... Aside from WYW being happy and successful as an attorney, I really want her to have all of that too if that's what she wants 🙏

This is especially obvious when it comes to who Junho likes. He immediately dismisses WYW as a possibility and…
Oh true! I hadn't spotted that parallel and it's an interesting one!

NGL to me, even though when he was an absolute jerk when they worked together on the case, it was one of the moments where he was least prejudiced because he actually saw her and treated her as a competitor for a brief while. Especially as, by how Su Yeon described him in uni, I feel like it was implied he'd have still done the same if it had been anyone else.

Either way it's an interesting moment, either as a mirror to the bullying she experienced in high school or as a moment where he saw her as an equal and not an "other" 🤔

That judge from the get go was all kinds of bias ,, talking about people's origin really ?how a place I was born…
I think part of the point of this episode was to show that we shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions about people.

Yes the judge was set up to be shown as biased and preferential towards those who flatter and are connected to him however his verdict shows that despite that he is both still capable of empathy and of delivering a fair and generous verdict. Imo his character is supposed to show that humans are complex and flawed but that flaws, even glaring ones, do not necessarily equate to "evil" or "bad".

Min Woo represents all those people in the world who can't see past the word "autism" to the actual person. He's not actively malicious (not yet anyway) but through his ignorance and his lack of willingness and effort to try to understand WYW he's failing to treat her like an actual person, an adult with the ability to feel and think and who is more than just a word.

I'm honestly very glad that there is a romance plot developing between WYW and LJH. Far too often it feels like anyone who falls outside of what society considers "normal" in anyway is often viewed as not being able to even have the option of romance in their lives, which is ridiculous and untrue. There are many different forms of romantic love with every person on this planet making it work for them and I'm looking forward to watching this drama challenge the idea that only people who fit within society's mould are able to give and receive romantic love.

Title Why Her? Spoiler
I think the girl in the asylum is the one whose body is missing but “dead”. Gong Chan’s stepsister.
It's not confirmed she's dead in those flashbacks, only unconscious. The current story is that whoever killed her dumped her body in the sea and the body wasn't found I think.

Out of interest, do you think, if the daughter turns out NOT to be Soo Jae's, that she could be the woman in the residential home/Gong Chan's sister's daughter? And that's why they had to disappear her and arrange a hasty marriage?

Let's be honest, Park Taejun's existence adds an automatic +0.5 to any rating you might give this drama 😋

Such an enjoyable and likeable character bolstered by some very good acting. I hope we get to see more of Chae Jong Hyeop in the future ~

While Junyoung and Taejun were competing for badminton titles their mum was apparently competing for the title…
Lady you have TWO children, stop treating Taejun like he's an afterthought and not your actual son.

That wasn't the evidence, it just made her suspicious. She did an illegal paternity test
Haha yes I know she didn't present it in court as evidence but just the way she said it as though it would be impossible otherwise made me giggle. To be fair to her though, I would imagine it's a fairly uncommon occurrence in SK.

i mean not really, it's 9 month pregnanacy + The postpartum (or postnatal) period which refer to 6 week, in this…
Ideally having children less than 12 months apart wouldn't happen for the reasons you stated (and so the mother can rest and recuperate) however it is absolutely possible if relatively rare. I know 2 sets of siblings with less than 12 months between them, one ( I believe) only has just over a10 month gap.

Yes, it's possible since pregnancies generally last about 9 months. But if you couple that 11-month age gap with…
Oh the different surnames still counts as evidence, I just found it hilarious how confidently the line about "not even a year between them" was delivered (and written) as though it was biologically impossible.

As I said, I'm still enjoying the drama, this moment just made me giggle 😋

Okay but the evidence she gives in the first ep that the boy had to be adopted because there was only an 11 month age gap between him and the next oldest child is incorrect. It is, in fact, completely possible for siblings to be born less than 12 months apart 😅🤣

(Other than that though, currently enjoying the drama so far)
